I encourage all the moms I know to try to savour the best parts of each stage of parenting and realize that the challenging parts are temporary (of course, then you get to a new level of challenging with the next stage!
but also a new level of joy). I still remember the days of having to take 5 kids with me EVERYWHERE including the grocery store! When my oldest DD turned 12 and was able to babysit the kids it was such a relief. The physical demands of the early years can feel so overwhelming. I was almost 40 when the 6th child came and man could I feel every one of those 40 years!
