I forgot Monarch of the Glen. I've seen it twice and enjoyed every minute of it.
I totally agree with you, the earlier episodes were much better.
I think I started losing interest after the old lord died. I laughed so hard when he was trying to train the dog "useless" and then I cried when he died.
It was hard to take that within a few minutes on the same episode.
