we won't put up our Christmas tree until all of our sons are home for their Christmas break. we have the most wonderful tree farm we go to every year to cut it down. they have Clydesdale horses and a big sleigh that take you out into the fields. once you have cut down your tree, you ring a huge bell and the horses come back to pick you up. you can bring your dogs with you, but ours are scared witless of the huge horses. they love to run around in the fields, but they do nothing but cower and whimper while in the sleigh, so it's not really enjoyable for them. silly labbers!
it's been a tradition of ours for as long as we have lived here, so we can't get a tree without the entire family.
Which tree farm do you go to. We've gone to the one in Rome, but not for several years. What a great tradition.
