I live in suburbia - but Austin is very wild - we have these giant greenbelts, lakes and creeks throughout the town and we live shoulder to shoulder with deer, coyotes, foxes, porcupines, rattlesnakes, you name it. More than once when I've done my early morning walks in the dark, a coyote has brushed by my leg on the way to a snack. It's unnerving.
