My SIL brined her turkey last year and it was delicious! She also used a butter and fresh herb rub as well as sage leaves tucked under the skin. I'm excited that the brussel sprouts I grew in my garden are ready to be harvested just in time for our Thanksgiving meal...all my kiddos LOVE b. sprouts if you can believe it!
One of our best turkeys ever was brined with tons of wonderful spices/herbs poked under the skin and ORANGE slices (as well as a lot of other imaginative flavor bombs) in the cavity. I didn't do it-- my niece's DH was the genius behind the bird.
