And why do you think it is the most viewed? I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours, lol! Mine is this card. I think the reason it has so many views is that it is a Christmas card, made with a popular stamp set, and it was a challenge card.

Very pretty! I think yours may have a lot of views because of the foil - the shine is really eye-catching and I know I'd click to see what it was, too!
I'm sure the high view numbers are partly because it is a notecard set and that it's been in the gallery for a few years! Maybe "first release" is intriguing, too.
Here is my second most view card. I didn't my most view card ( on page 2 of my gallery) because it was my first and Lydia announced it was my first so I got more views
Oops! Over 1500! I hadn't gone back to look at my own gallery and I'm amazed that some of these cards have had so many views! I do agree that challenge cards tend to get more hits and feedback than any random card posted.
You said "I think the reason it has so many views is that it is a Christmas card, made with a popular stamp set, and it was a challenge card."
Silly Goose, it is viewed so many times because it is so elegant and beautiful it draws viewers back to it. There are a few other cards in the Gallery that draw me back again and again. I'm so glad you posted today because I seldom visit the Gallery and wouldn't otherwise have seen this dynamite card. I LOVE the idea of people posting their card with the most views.........my own cards aren't good enough to post yet, but I'm having fun trying, and even more fun admiring cards like the one of yours today.
Thanks for posting,
Bahb
I thought this was going to take forever until I remembered that you can have the gallery sorted by views, comments, etc. The card with the most views is from May of 2011. Embedded Baroque which uses the inlaid embossing technique (faux pressed flowers here) which always seems to get a lot of views!
When I went back and sorted by most favorited...this card was top again and 6 of the top 12 featured the inlaid embossing technique!

Wait - you can sort? I went page by page, duh. How do you sort, please?

You can sort your own, the main gallery, or other's galleries by scrolling down to the bottom of the page...you will see a table that says Sort Photos...Under that is a box that says Sort by...click on the arrow and choose how you want to sort (posted date, views, comments, etc.) The next box allows you to choose from what date you want it sorted...I did from the beginning...and if you leave it on descending it will give you from the largest to the smallest! Then you click on the last box that says sort now. HTH
My most viewed upload is actually my craft space, not a card. But my most viewed card, oddly, was not associated with any challenge, did not win any "favorite of the week", and is not my personal favorite in my gallery. I just find that to be interesting.

I really like the layers of the silhouettes on your card. I've noticed that cards I've made with the stamp set often get large #'s of views.

Thanks.
Interesting. So it's probably the stamp set I chose, which makes sense. I often browse by set to get ideas and see what others have done with the same images.
I love this sort of thing (armchair data analysis), so I went back and sorted by most favorites. That sort made more sense to me, with many of my personal favorites towards the top of that list.

Fun thread. Mine is this bow: Can you guess what it's made of? by Crafts . It's obvious why it got the most views. As soon as it was posted to the SCS Facebook wall, the views and comments spiked immediately. Thanks again, Lydia.
Here's my most viewed card. It's from way back in 2005. Not sure why it was viewed so many times, probably because there weren't that many cards uploaded at that time yet, maybe because it was a popular set at that time too. And I think the limited supplies challenge which I made this card for back then was very popular. Not sure...
I guess I am an analytical person, too, as this topic really intrigues me. I am LOVING all the cards everyone posted- just gorgeous stuff. I'll enclose the link to the simple wedding card that is my most viewed card:
Kathy, both of your cards are gorgeous! That wedding card is spectacular! Check out this one I did for an inspiration challenge, a near exact replica of the cake that was my inspiration, and very similar to your wedding card.
Thought I would join this thread - so fun to look at everyone's cards. My most viewed card is a Christmas card that ended up being picked as a CAS Favourite for that week which really bumped up the numbers and now that I had a look through my gallery to see what is my most viewed card, I just noticed that it has had over 3800 views which I can scarcely believe! Here it is: CAS96 Vintage Peaceful Wishes by JoBear2 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Ok, I just re-sorted my gallery a couple of different ways. I never realized I could do that, what fun! It is so interesting to see what cards are viewed vs commented vs favorited.

This is my second most viewed. I haven't posted the first, because it was used for a TLC challenge and I'm sure that's why it had so many hits. Having said that, the one that Roxie used for a sketch challenge only comes in at #8.
This one, I guess it's just the white-on-white factor, another similar one is in my top ten.

That's my "most viewed" card. Over 1000 views and not a single comment. Weird, huh! I still love this card, it's one where everything "came together" and looked exactly like I wanted it to!

I think you should try uploading . You may not feel they're good enough, but oh my - just go back and look at the early uploads from many stampers - we all grow over the years. There are times I'd love to delete my early uploads, but I see them as a record of my journey.
As another poster mentioned, I often go back and look through the galleries for particular favourite sets looking for ideas and inspiration, so I'm sure that raises the view numbers for those sets.
