Nov 11 was my mums birthday, Rememberence Day in England, we always call it Poppy Day as they sell paper poppies to raise money for soldiers and they have parades to remember the soldiers who died in the two world wars and all the other conflicts since and also to remember our serving soldiers too.
Remembrance Day in Canada too.....oh and they don't sell the poppies, they give them out in exchange for a donation. Here's a photo of the little sweetie. His name is Lief and in Dutch that word means sweet!
