I don't know if this is just my local Joann's, maybe it's more widespread. At my Joann's, the Spellbinders are not on display as they used to be. Lo and behold though, I can see what's available on the way to the checkout. Now hold on to your hats, as all the spellbinders are on clearance for the astonishing prices of $5.97 and $4.97. I first noticed this on Friday the 9th and only bought one set
Came home and called my LSS owner to let her know, then called my Mom. Sad thing is, my Mom lives in another state. But my LSS owner did go that evening and bought 6 or 7 different die sets. I just went back today and bought 3 more. Yes, I admit, I do have this sickness, but hey, you just can't pass up a deal like this!
So, I've purchased 4 sets for under the price of one set at full price. Can you believe that! My Dh knows there's a gold mine in that not so little box!

please share which ones that everyone is able to get on clearance. I don't want to travel the hour drive if i already have them. Thanks so much for the information.
ACMoore has them on sale too, although not as cheap however, I am concerned because they are on clearance and they have none back on the wall so I am assuming they will not be carrying them anymore. Maybe this is what is happening at Joanns too??
I went to the store in Rohnert Park (the town just south of mine) this morning, they said they didn't have them anymore, but when I was there on Saturday, they had them, I even went into the back room (with a clerk) where they keep them. The clerks and manager especially, were just plain rude today. Both stores are about the same distance in miles from where I live (4 north and 5 south ). Definitely a store by store happening.

Lexington Ky had them on clearance. I scored the flower pots, lotus border petites and the
fair isle pendants dies. I also picked up the floral and stone embossing plate. They had a few others, but they were ones I already had in my collection.
The area in the store where the Spellbinders were normally hung was empty. It looks like they are either doing away with them or changing what they are carrying after the holidays.

I agree, that it looks as if they are going to do away with them. This isn't necessarily all stores, but it's nice to find the stores that do have the dies on clearance.

My store still has quite a few on hand, though they are not the newer sets. But if you don't have them, $5.97 and $4.97 are great prices. Considering they still advertise the Spellbinders die cut machine and dies, I think it was just particular stores getting rid of current stock to make room for the Christmas stuff. I just went and bought another set yesterday, I'm shameless!
Just called our local Joanns and she said no :( Maybe it was just that one Joann's that had them on clearance? The lady at ours here said that they have not been on clearance ever that she was aware of except for once in awhile they will be on sale. OH well, I tried
