Default Want to make a Christmas card/greeting that is also a gift. Ideas?

I saw in the Stampin Up nov 2007 mini there is a banner that says "joy". It gave me the idea, how about send people something out of the ordinary. Make them a decoration. Do you guys have any other ideas of what I can do or places you can refer me? It has to be mailable so that is the only draw back I see so far.

I made a couple of very fancy cards last year that were intended to double up as decorations to keep and get out each year - one was a star book and one was an accordion style tag book. But they wouldn't be mailable in a regular envelope, so I don't think they'd meet your requirements.
I wonder, though, if you made an ornament something like these - Snoopy Decorates the Tree by Cook22 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers, you could incorporate it into a card as a detachable ornament. Say by stamping some boughs on the card, and hanging the ornament from a brad. I made that some years back before I had a die-cutter. Nowadays I'd have a lot more options available!

What about a Christmas tree ornament as a greeting (on the back) and a treasured keepsake gift. It would be mailable in a small flat box. I have seen a couple of videos on making the Stampin' Up! ornament on the front of the Holiday catalog and I have a similar one made with the Ornament Punch. I did a video on how to make it in my Nov. newsletter. Ornaments made a great gift.
