Default Working with digi images on a CD using a Mac

Another dumb digi newbie question
I have a Mac

I have only worked with "downloaded" digis and I put those into a file on my computer.

I have ordered some SU digi suites, but they are on a disk.

Do I copy the disk images to my computer or work with them from the disk?

If I should copy them to my computer do just right click and copy to a file that I created for them?

Thanks!!
Barbara

I think it's a matter of preference. I have some disks with images on them but sometimes it's hard to find it again so I keep a copy on my hard drive. I wouldn't copy the entire cd though, they take up a lot of space after a while.

For the SU! images, it's easiest (especially at the beginning) to copy them. Put the disc in your drive, and it should autorun the install program ... which will put the images where they need to be.
You'll have stamps, papers, embellishments ... so let the program figure out where they go!

(Don't forget to do period checks to make sure that you are running the most recent version of MDS2 ... they've had a couple of upgrades)

Thanks!

At this point I do not have MDS . I am just trying the digi idea with Photoshop Elements or drop and drag into pages. I have a Mac

Yikes! How will I override the Auto run?? If that install engages it will hang
up my computer because it won't know where to put the images.

I really only want the digi paper not all the other stuff on the disks .

My only experience with the SU digi paper is I bought one downloaded set to try and I put it in a file for SU paper.

you might be ok.
If it autoruns, it just starts the installation. You need to say 'no'. Should be good.

You might have to run a zip file to get at your items. I don't have a disk nearby to check what exactly is on them ...

It would be fine to install just the paper, but I don't want to take up hard drive space for stamps and embellishments I will never use. The only digi stamps I like a line stamps to color with my Copics. I prefer all other stamps to be rubber. And I don't want to use printed ribbon or printed embellishments , I like the real ones

I don't want to use the print service or complete lay out features either
