OMGosh.....I can't believe I beat Rita here....heehee....hope y'all aren't tired of the recycled cards....I had such a blast and got on such a roll making them....here are my 6 for Oct.
okay....with me being behind a few months...I decided to jump a head. That way I don't feel the pressure....now to work backwards to catch up!!! Hey, it all sounded good in MY head! ;)
Here is my card....using a retired set of Holiday Lineup. I worked on these while I was at a family reunion...some of these little elves took a life of their own. As I sat and colored at the table...and the family walked by to see what I was doing!!
I put it in my gallery....but, waiting for approval.

to cute....you must have calmer family reunions than ours.....lol!!! I'd have had way to much help with coloring....and harassment for not joining the rest of the crazies....ours are loud and rowdy with kids running everywhere and everyone shouting over everyone else.....totally crazed...
Wow, Sheri.....I didn't know we were in the same family!!! LOL Yes, it was pretty wild and crazy at times!!! I was sort of harassed....but, MIL said that I had a quota for each month to make Christmas cards. I was sort of surprised she said that.....once that was said....I just had them come and look to see how far I had gotten. Wow...no pressure then!!!

Here are my Oct cards. I used an old stamp set because I thought there was a challenge to use a wreath. Oh well, imagined challenge inspired me to get my Oct cards done!
Here are my cards. Now off to gallery to look at yours.

Sharon, You have a chance for November. I have not started and they are going to be the most difficult one I planned on making! And right now I am working on cards for the Annual Cancer challenge coming up in October. Our local shop is celebrating its 1 year anniversary during September and is working with SCS and having us locals make cards all during the month, for me to send in with the SCS October challenge! I hope our ladies make LOTS of cards!
So....if you want to be first, you have time to do it!!! Rita
Suzy, I like your card with the banners. I have been on this big kick of only taking paper out of the scrap box and your card would help make a dent in it! - - The important thing is that this challenge pushes you to get your cards done before December 25 and it makes no difference what direction you go - just so you do it!

Scootsv and Sharon.....thanks for the comments on the card....it was fun making the banners. I already had the elves colored so it was hunting in the scraps to find the paper. Worked out fine!

welcome aboard Geni....it is great to get them out of the way....this is my first yr but I'm so looking forward to having lots of free time to have a relaxing holiday....
Sorry I have been MIA for several months. I got lots of cards made and was several months ahead, but I knew that there were some family issues that would require a great deal of my time. I did not get my Sept cards made and I may not get Oct or Nov - but I have more than enough cards for this year so I'm not worried. My mother came and stayed with me for about 6 weeks this summer - she has Alzheimers and she was quite a handful for DH while I was working! (dad passed away about 10 years ago) Visited with DD#2 and grandkids for a week (we took 5 generation photos!). When my mother went back to my brother's house, the Memory Care facility had an opening and we moved mom into it. Last month we traveled back to mom's house and cleaned it out and put it on the market to sell (mom grew up in the depression - never threw anything away!). My house is overrunning with things I brought back from mom's - so much history, hertiage and memories! I hope to have some sort of organization to my house by Christmas!
You all have such lovely cards and when I get a chance I will try to leave some love in your galleries! Keep stamping!!

Working backwards, sounds like a good plan!
Sounds like you were a bit bored at the reunion LOL

I am actually responsible for organizing the family group photos and getting all the names down, and keeping the guest/address book up to date

That would be a great conversation starter to see if any other card makers are in the family to get together (even if only virtually like us) to make cards each month
Sadly I am the only paper crafter in my family.. some love my cards and I make a batch for them to send out, some think its cheesy to make cards like ours for Holidays, silly b'days are okay, but Christmas should be more thoughtful... huh?
Sadly I do not Crochet so I am not considered a "crafter' to many in the family! LOL

Asking for Wreath cards sounds familer... I may have posted such a challenge thought! Sounds good to me!

Kinda... I may have cheated a bit! LOL
I took all my non SU scrap boxes, and put them in a basket and sold it on my FIL/MIL yard sale!
Along with bits and pieces of embellishments I am not using.
Cleaned my room right up!
I was going to sell on non SU stuff, but csouln't part with my House Mouse Stamps! LOL
Great Motivational speech too! I may have to CASE that for future use!

You've really had your hands full!
Sorry about your mom, that has to be tough!
Arlene, so sorry about your mom and I understand cleaning a house where people had lived thru the depression. Good luck with selling the house and collecting all the memories. Remember that Christmas is about Baby Jesus, love and family, not an organized house.
