It may be because I think many who make cards don't buy the cards themselves, but make them by cutting 8-1/2" x 11-1/2" cardstock in half at the 5-1/2" mark, and then folding to make an A2 size card, ie 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.
The envelopes to fit an A2 size card are usually called "invitation" size and can be found at any number of places, online, and also at office supply stores like Office Depot and Staples. Depending on the quality you want, and the number of envelopes you buy, the prices vary greatly.
If you want to go the Stampin' Up route, you can easily find a demonstrator in your area, and order supplies from SU. Just google Stampin' Up.

Thank you! That's exactly what I needed to know. I hadn't come to the realization that the 8.5 x 11 cardstock actually did that. Now it makes sense why I see reference to it so much but couldn't find it as easily.
Our Joanns has envelopes from Michael Tuturi? The wedding guy...that's about all I know about him, haha! The lady had to go into the back and grab them for me because they have not figured out where to stock them.

Hi, I'm totally new here and I have a question.....
Where is the best place (online) to get size A2 cards and envelopes?
My stores (Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and AC Moore) don't really carry them.

Since you are new, I will tell you something I didn't know for quite a while after I started making cards.
You can use a white cardstock folded for the "base" of your card. Then you can create a "card front" to adhere to it, completely covering the white outside, and leaving the white inside for your message. Just cut the outside card front 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, use any color you like, or a pattern, with layers and mats for your stamped image. Then you attach it to the front of the white base.

I do as Bugga mentioned, I cut the card stock to make my own cards. I get two cards out of a sheet of card stock that way. I have seen packs of cards/w envelopes at my stores, but they are more money. I get envelopes at Staples (100 in a box). Lots of stores online have nice ones, but the amount of cards I send, it pays for me to go and buy a large box.

I've seen them in all the big craft stores: Michael's, JoAnn's, A.C. Moore. They have them in packages and boxes. I usually cut my own cards and buy the invitation size envelopes at Staples. Sometimes, though, when I'm in a hurry, I use pre-packaged cards and envelopes.
