Being a New Yorker, ITA with Niagara Falls and NYC. The Grand Canyon is awesome. Just visited Gettysburg and, for someone who is not a history buff, I found it extremely interesting and poignant.
I hope to see some western US sites next summer after I'm in Salt Lake City for convention. There's still so much of this country I haven't seen.
