Stampin Up Cardstock for Christmas Card

I recently purchased the Be Of Good Cheer DSP, and I am trying to find matching Stampin Up cardstock as I start to design my Christmas Cards. I am fine with the darker colors, but I would love to have the base be lighter so we can write messages in the card. I really don't like the weight of whisper white or very vanilla. Does anyone have a suggestion for the best cardstock base to go with this series?

You could use the Naturals Ivory or Naturals White....they are a heavier card stock than the WW or VV. HTH

Or... you could use a panel on the inside of either WW or VV to write your message and just go with whatever colour base you choose to match your card. If you have the top note die, it makes it a little more decorative on the inside too. I don't have the top note die (sad, sad, sad) but I often use edge punches to pretty up the inside panel.

Use the dark base and then put a liner inside--either a smaller rectangle or die cut inside to write on. I do this frequently. It looks classy too in my opinion.

If you want to order outside of SU and are looking for a good heavy card stock for the base you could check out GinaKDesigns. Her base weight white and ivory are lovely and good and sturdy.

If you really want to stick with SU using the "Naturals" is good plan or using a colored base and adding a white or vanilla layer inside to write on.

I agree with what everyone else has said (I too use GinaK White and Ivory heavy base weight paper). I just wanted to add another idea. One Christmas I used a dark card base and used a silver or gold ink inside to write my message (like a gel pen). Usually on those cards gold or silver were accents in the card front.
