If you bought the die set in a store, I would take it back with a sample of your attempts. You may have gotten a bad die.
I have a friend who bought a intricate Spellbinder die and it just wouldn't cut completely through in spots. I asked for assistance on this site and she tried all of them but none worked so she took it back to the store and they exchanged it for her.
I had an item I ordered online that wasn't performing as advertised so I called Customer Service. She asked me to send a sample to the company customer service attention to her (she gave me her name). Got an email back and they sent me a new one that worked fine. She didn't ask me to send the defective one back so if you bought online, maybe try this.
I know there is a person on this site that works for Spellbinders that has responded to other people request for 'fix' suggestions and maybe she will chime in.
