Here crane flies are what we call Daddy Long Legs - very like your photo, Pansy, but with wings.
Yesterday was a sunny morning and I had a good start by spotting a cormorant silhouetted under a bridge on the way to work.
I don't know for sure exactly what they are, I think they're something to do with electricity, but all the normally grey "boxes" are breaking out in fun covers at the moment.
I think the offices that are "To Let" are in the back of the church building - they're certainly actually part of it, so it amused me to spot the sign.
