profile picture not showing up

I might have overlooked this question somewhere else, but for the life of me I couldn't find it!

I had added my profile picture, but it is not showing up when I make a forum post. When I go in to edit my profile, under profile picture the image I want is there, but I can't get it to show up!

What am I missing?

Your profile picture is the one that on your profile page. Your avatar is what you need to edit to get a picture showing on your posts.

Your profile picture and avatar pictures are actually two separate fields on your profile.

You can use the same picture for both if you'd like. Here are the instructions for updating your avatar. After you do it, wait about 10 minutes and then you'll see it show up on your posts - even ones before you did the update

Click up on the welcome spot and then look along the left you'll see edit avatar as an option about seven spots down
