Talking DGSC082 A layer just like the one before - 9/24/12

DGSC082 A layer just like the one before - 9/24/12
________________________________________

Ive been very busy creating scrapbook pages from London for a gift album. But I STILL have hundreds of other photos - at least a few of which need to be in my scrapbook.

I got the new Stampin Success demo magazine in my mail the other day and one card sample in the Art Contest Winners section that really jumped out at me - it was a square with a Basic Gray base and on top of that a Basic Gray layer with one nice focal image and not a lot of embellishments at all - two brads. It also used a couple of punches and some stamps.

On your page this week use any ONE choice of patterned paper OR solid cardstock and layer it on itself. Use one photo you love - or more if you insist ;)

Also use:

2 embellishments - I used buttons
2 punches (or more) - I used the scalloped border punch and the full heart punch
Use 1 (or more) stamped images - my how wonderful title is actually a stamp, but the patterned paper I chose had a line image that really looks like a stamp so as much as I tried to add more, it wasnt working for me.

"PLEASE NOTE!* Although this is in the digiscrap threads, anyone is welcome to play--whether they're a digi, paper or hybrid scrapper.* Just as the digiscrappers, when doing a traditional challenge, sometimes have to change up the instructions a little to fit their digi needs, the traditional scrappers might have to improvise on some of the digi techniques.* It should make things interesting!"

To add your page to this gallery and the monthly scrapbook gallery just add DGSC082 and SBC12SEP when uploading. Also, please take a minute to post a link to your sample page on this thread so we wont miss seeing your work!

Have a great week! I look forward to seeing your layouts.

Default not as quick as i thought!

here's mine.

i dont really have any digital punches. so i punch out of scrap cardstock and made clipping masks out of them. my stamp is hard to see, but its the music notes at the bottom of the tag.

my son looked over my should and said "great, fat christiaan." i promised him i would do some of his racing pics from this summer. i still think he looked handsome as all get out.
