WT393 - Fancy Folds (9/20/12)
Hello friends and welcome to a new Ways to Use It Challenge! Your challenge today is to use a creative fold somewhere on your card or project. There are so many wonderful card designs that incorporate fancy folds...here are a few to get your MOJO flowing:
~ Accordion Card
~ Easel Card
~ Swing Card (Flip-Flop)
~ Side Step Card
There are many more out there so lets fill the gallery with Fancy Folds
It has been ages since I made a Swing Card, so I went with that for my sample and had so much fun with it!
Several views of my Gobble, Gobble "Swing Card" sample and Toni's beautiful card are shown below.
Remember to use the keyword, WT393 when uploading your card so we can all see your creation. It helps if you link it up back here too.
Here is the whole Fancy Folds Gallery: WT393 - Homemade Cards, Rubber Stamp Art, & Paper Crafts - Splitcoaststampers.com
Need Help linking your card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Youre done!

Sorry about this post everyone...for some reason I'm not able to do the links in the advanced mode like I usually do. If you search the folds on the tutorials page, you can find the directions for each. I'll keep playing with the post to try to get it to work!

Fancy Folds are my most favorite thing to do with cards! I'm always looking for new ways to fold my cards. I look forward to working this challenge. Thank you, cathymac.

Cathy, your sample card really rocks! It's fantastic and very inspirational. The idea of fancy folds for the challenge is a good one, so I better get to work.

Great challenge and cards already in the gallery.
However, I can't get the tutorial search to work. When I enter "fold" it takes me back to the Home page.

Here's mine for today. I would never remember to try this again without the push of the challenge. Great idea! Thanks, Cathy

Val, I was having that problem yesterday too! I just tried now and the search worked fine for me. Maybe there have been some gremlins at play here!

I just made this card yesterday and had not uploaded it yet, and it qualifies for this challenge. It's a diagonal tri fold pocket card.

Here's my tri-fold shutter card entry in the challenge. I used the OWH template for the fold dimensions. Am loving all the inspiration and fancy folds in the gallery!
