I don't think she means candy canes. I think she's referring to the "canes" or long skinny clay rolls that have been made from a variety of clay colors. You roll out long snakes of different colors of clay and then put them together to form patterns, roll them until they are all compressed and don't fall apart and they become longer. Then you can cut the canes cross-wise to see the pretty pattern. Does that make sense? I've read about this and seen it done on videos....never done it myself!
