I just wanted to thank anyone and everyone who ever leaves some love in anyone else's gallery! I've had a rather rough week (month/year) and have been a bit blue off and on. This morning I was looking at my gallery to find a card so I could get the name of the stamp I'd used, and got sidetracked reading comments on various cards in my gallery. Everyone here is SO kind, and SO encouraging! If you ever need a pick-me-up, go read whatever comments anyone's left you - even if there aren't many, I guarantee that you'll feel SO MUCH BETTER! It's true that we're never truly alone... THANKS AGAIN!
I needed to 'fess up, as well, I think... My time has been so stretched that I've been VERY neglectful in commenting (or even perusing galleries at all)! Time to mend the error of my ways - we can all find time to be kind, right?
I don't always have time to comment in everyones gallery. What I do instead is Privately Message that person. Tell them how much I like their work. What's nice is they write me back thanking me for my comments . It's nice because we both got to feel great. To everyone who's work we view know that we appreciate and are amazed at the outstanding work you put on Split Coast for us to see. Thank You!!!
I am so sorry you've been having a rough time. I always enjoy reading your posts in the forum because you have such a great attitude and wonderful knowledge to share! And I agree that we all should make a little time to leave comments in the gallery. I have tried to spend more time doing that lately and not only does it make the card creator feel better, it makes me feel better because 1) I have been inspired by their creations and 2) I have the opportunity to recognize someone's hard work and compliment them. It's a win/win!
Why yes - yes, I did! My kit is supposed to be here Monday
I'm still not quite sure how far I'm willing to take it (I have commitment issues, lol), but I figure I'll at least get the discount on the toys that I want!
Just to clarify, in case I came across as a bit gloomy in the original post here: it's really hard for me to sustain a pity party or any other negative mindset for any length of time, but I have down days like everyone else. I just noticed this morning how many kind comments I had received from people who don't even know me except for tidbits of conversations here and there. I also noticed how supported - even loved - that I felt as I read them, so I had to SAY! Yeah, that's it...
I so agree. What a wonderful place to hang out. I hope I've left you some comments lately as it sounds like that is just what you need. Take it a day at a time. Often the next day brings a lift and things look up. We are here when you need us.
