KY, TN...CANCELLED/Rescheduled for 2013... Gathering & Shoebox Swap

Hello- This will be a Shoebox Swap & Gathering for anyone in the area of KY/TN (Ft. Campbell, Paducah, Murray, Madisonville, Hopkinsville & surrounding areas of KY/Clarksville, Springfield, Mt. Juliet, Paris, Hendersonville, Nashville & surrounding areas of TN).
ANYONE willing to drive is WELCOME!
We will keep it simple & inexpensive. I will be sharing basic details below with the time/date/location TBD. The event will be held either in Hopkinsville, KY or Clarksville, TN.
Lunch Info We can decide once people begin to sign-up. If in the Hopkinsville area we can have lunch catered. Clarksville- may be easier to just order pizza.
What to BRING:
Your Name Tag (details below)
Your Shoebox Swap Project (details below)
A $5-$8 Door Prize Gift (Find more info below)
BASIC SUPPLY KIT: Scissors, adhesive, pop dots or foam dots, cutting tool w/scoring blade & a black journaling marker.
Shoebox Swap Information:
Quality Cardstock is a MUST!
We will make FULL cards or a COMPLETED project using at least one accessory (ribbon, brads, buttons, etc).
You are not limited to just making cards. You may make other projects keeping in mind it should not take more than 10-12 mins to complete.
All card/project pieces should be pre-cut.
Please bring stamps or other items for your project that are not in the basic supply kit.
Include instructions (aka: recipes), tips and any other important information.
Please bring ONE EXTRA completed card/project: You will use this as your sample at your stamping station.
At this time we are planning to swap with everyone. The final counts will be given closer to the event. FYI: if everyone prefers we split into two groups of Shoebox Swappers then we will advise of that change a few weeks before the event.
**VIP** EVERYONE SHOULD BRING ALL CARD/PROJECT KITS in a ZIPLOC BAG that includes all cut cardstock, embellishments, and instructions (recipes). You will need to have enough for everyone to complete the card or project you have created for this swap.
NAME TAGS Make a name tag using your real name and/or SCS name or nickname. Name tags do not have any restrictions. Be as creative as you would like to be...this is your time to shine! The name tags will be judged and prizes will be given for the two best tags!
Door Prize Information
$5-8 value
Scrapping or Stamping Related
Include your name on the prize, so the winner knows who to thank.
*Door prizes are optional. If you choose not to bring one, please do not place your name in the pot for one.

Tracy-I will talk to you for more details sometime when I get back from my mini-vacation this weekend. I don't think November will work for Anita, but I will talk to her. She has not been on SCS in a while. She may not have read your message yet.

Hi Tamara! I will post the information this week (hopefully). I wanted to find out if there how many were interested in attending to kind of get an idea of how much space would be needed.
It looks as if there are no longer any KY/TN stampers that are interested in a Gathering/Shoebox Swap. I will leave this up for a few more days...if no one else is interested I will close it and we can just do a local event.. We have plenty of our local gals that will want to attend- just thought some old SCS friends and maybe some new friends would want to as well. Sadly, many old friends have moved too far away.
