Welcome to The Greeting Farm's Customer Challenge and Chit Chat night for August! It’s my first time hostessing, so be gentle ladies, be gentle

. I’m thrilled to share my inspiration and theme for this month: “Oh, the Places You'll Go", which for me means so many things.

This month, we closed out on another amazing Olympic Games, where we see athletes go higher, faster and stronger, and sometimes make their dreams come true. As someone who competed all through high school, I love watching the Games!

People travel from all around the world to experience the Olympics - London this year, Beijing, Athens, Sydney - and travel is something I've loved to do since I was a toddler (going through airline security, not so much...).

And as August turns into September, it's the time for change and new experiences with new school beginnings .

So, we're having 3 challenges, which means 3 times the opportunity to welcome an amazing TGF prize to your stamping area. And, of course, more opportunities to share your love of Miss Anya, Mr. Ian and all their TGF friends.

The challenges are to create a project inspired by one of the themes below using your TGF stamps:

Create a Project inspired by the Olympic Games – TGFCCN7 and thegreetingfarm

Create a Project inspired by your Favorite (or Dream) Travel Destination – TGFCCN8 and thegreetingfarm

Create a Project inspired by New Steps (School, College, Job) – TGFCCN9 and thegreetingfarm

One additional item: In honor of the Olympic Games, all challenge entries should rock some bling. This can be in the form of embellishments, glitter, Stickles, Glimmermist, metallics, metal, etc.

So give your TGF stamps a summer fling and share where your imagination (and some ink and paper

) takes you. Be sure to post your pics in the SCS gallery using the correct keywords (see above), and put up some pics in the chat thread so we can all ooh and ahhh.

If you can’t join us tonight or, if you’re like me and need 24 hours to put card concept into card execution, no worries. You have all weekend to play along. Be sure to have your photos uploaded by MONDAY, AUGUST 20, at 12pm CT. Winners will be announced here and on the TGF Blog on Monday.

Here's what I came up with:
Olympics moment – As much as a comment on the whole bikini-for-an-Olympic-uniform part, who didn’t love the fact that Misty May and Kerri have completed in 3 Olympic Games – and kicked butt! You go ladies, TGF style!

Travel Destination – Any Dr. Who fans in the house? So, London again, but really, since I’m channeling the 11th Doctor, it could be anywhere and anytime.

New Steps – As an Army brat who grew up overseas or OCONUS, I have tremendous respect and honor for all of our men and women serving in their respective armed forces, which can take you far, far away from your home and family. I love Solider Ian and will be doing a bunch of these themed cards for Operation Write Home’s AnyHero mail program, which gives me and anyone who’s interested, a way to send messages to our troops overseas, and remind them that we remember and appreciate them.
