IC15 - Sleepwear (Inspiration Challenge)
Inspiration Challenge #15 (Don't forget to add IC15 to your keywords please!)
Today's inspiration comes from my daughter's sleepwear. I loved the bright colors and I'm a sucker for flowers.
Feel free to translate the inspiration item into a card, a scrapbook page, or another project. Be inspired by the colors, layout, theme, or anything else -- this is up to your own interpretation!
Here is my card: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I chose my sentiments because the card always makes me smile; and I chose the Word by Word because they had an outline which reminded me of the blue circle in the clothing. You can't see it in the scan, but I've hand drawn dotty vines through the flower patch (pulled the idea from the clothing).
Location: In my Happy Place with no one bothering me....I hope!

Great jammies!! My DD has undies that remind me soooo much of "little pieces" and I keep thinking that I need to try to stamp something like them!! I just checked in...... I have a card started from a previous challenge and will try to work on this one too! So glad to have discovered these!!!
Pretty print on that sleepwear. I have my colors pulled out and we'll see what I can get done today. I like your card Karen, so springy!
I have some errands to run and company coming so I hope to get this fit in today along the other two challenges I missed this week.
Well those jammies were just a little bit too girly girl for me, so I changed mine to more funky colors. I could only find one piece of rick rack, so that also partially determined my color scheme. Here's mine: just saying hello

I'm glad you are able to see past the girly-part. I have two daughters, so there isn't much in my house that isn't girly. I have been crusing through online stores looking for different 'looks' so you'll have a variety.
Laying out my coat and purse over 2 spots in the gallery for Juli and Rox since I beat them back here to do the challenge. Mine is still pending but that is ok I am just happy not to be last this time, lol :
Almost forgot about this challenge today! Well I went with the circle patterns (because I just couldn't get the flower thing going for me today). Didn't have any bric-a-brac either (whine!) so went with ribbon instead.
Thanks for the great challenge!
Here's my sweet little chick with a background inspired by sleepwear!
Thanks Karen, as always it was a fun inspiring challenge! BTW are you doing one next week with VSN the same day?
Karen you have got me going with your inspirations! Here are 2 from me. The first is one I actually made second and is inspired by karen's daughter's pyjamas as posted in the challenge:
P.S. I really didn't upload on Sunday!! It is now Saturday 8:00 p.m. EST - don't know why my photos say uploaded on Sunday!@! They may still be pending.

Liz - that is fabulous that you went and found your own inspiration too! You will be amazed after doing a few of these that everything starts looking like a card ~LOL!

Maybe it is the time zone that you have selected? I think the moderators go by Pacific TZ because that is where the servers/owners are. (I may be wrong about that.) My point being -- don't worry!!
Okay, here's my creation... I realized I got the colors wrong too late, the big pic of the pj's I printed out looked like the rickrack and some flowers were red... they're actually not red, but hot pink. But mine are red, too late to change it now! The red kinda works tho... ;-)

Yeah Juli, you got it posted! Don't worry about the colors...I know you like to copy the inspiration, but just have fun -- besides, your card is fabulous!
The minute I saw the inspiration I had a plan. Even knew I would use Burst into Bloom, once I mounted the stamps. I like the pattern of circling the flowers with the blue ring so I copied that idea using paper circles. I wanted to incorporate the pink ricrack but I don't own any so settled for a pink bowtie as that I felt added some femininity. All it needs is a little sentiment which I'll use from the Smorgasborders set when I need the card.
Thanks for such a fun challenge, Karen! I should have took a photo of my BG it looked more like the inspirational jammies before photos were added...Oh well...inspiration is just that...INSPIRATION!
Here's mine...........it's a little busy but this was fun. Pending yet but it's early Mon. morning!

Jstarbright, you have started something--you were right, this is a fun challenge. I went with the jammies all the way. It's raining and sleeting and looking for snow tonight, so think I'll just hop in a pair and call it a day!!
