Default newbie from Canada

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie from Saskatchewan, Canada. I started making cards years ago on the computer using an American Greetings program. It didn't take me long to go through that, so I started looking on the internet for images to use which led me to digital scrapbooking. Then one day I saw a card with dry embossing on it. Soon I found out that it was done with folders and the cuttlebug. I fell in love and landed with a big thud!

Well, I finally got one, then realized that I would have to actually cut and glue! My heart fell because I knew I couldn't glue well, especially straight, which was why digital was so ideal for me. Anyway I jumped in with both feet, and now I love making cards with layers and texture, although I still can't glue straight! I've only recently started getting a few (very few) stamps. I've lurked here at Splitcoast for quite a while, learning a lot, and finally decided to join.

Hi Peggy! Oh my word - I feel the same way about dry embossing Makes me happy. I can't glue straight either.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything - and if you have a question - just ask - everyone - like sweet Stephanie - is very helpful and friendly.

Thank you so much for the welcome! Understandblue, I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't glue straight - makes me feel more at ease. Thanks! Stephanie, I'm sure to have lots of questions. Thanks.

welcome Peggy! Don't worry about glue-ing straight! There are no mistakes in card making - you can always say you meant it to be crooked ;)
I can't cut straight - thank goodness for trimmers and die cutting machines!
