Does anyone know the lifespan for stazon ink pads or the SU craft pads? I have several of each, unused for the last five years. I'm guessing none of them are any good but does anyone know for sure?
My black staz-on would be at least 7 years old. Probably gets re-inked once a year, but I think your pad would be fine to just be re-inked and used. I really hope so - if you've got 10, that's quite an investment!! good luck
My really old StazOn pads are still good after years of non-use. The only onld and neglected pads I had to throw out were Metallix -- not only was the foam completely dried out, it was starting to crumble into dust.

Like the others, I have Staz-on pads I've had for years, and they are fine. Re-ink no problem. A few days ago I saw mentioned in a thread on here somewhere a poster had trouble with a Staz-on pad being non too good to work with, even after re-inking. What she did was add a tablespoon of denatured alcohol, and she said its now as good as new.
I have an ink pad I bought when I was 16. It's now nearly 20 years later and I still have it. It hasn't gotten much use. I should look and see what kind it was. I think my daughter has it now.
I replaced my 3 year old Timber Brown Stazon inkpad early this year. (bought it at Michaels, so who knows how old it was) After a few months the ink separated in the pad and got that metallic glaze on top. It then wouldn't stamp evenly or dry completely and the images ended up a smeary mess. So far, that's the only one that ever died on me.
