I saw it at the last CHA - it's pretty nifty in person. I don't remember the price though. I love how there's always something new even when you think you've seen it all

I recently saw a youtube video where someone had made their own version of this. I don't recall the name but I think I got the link from pinterest. She used chipboard or cardboard to make the circle guide for the stamp. Sorry, that's about all I can remember from the video...

At first, I thought, no way I'd be buying that thing, what with having to get specialty stamps for it. But when I saw the video sempermom posted, I realized the tool can hold any cling stamp. That makes the idea a lot more interesting!

Would I have the patience to use it? I don't know. Would I mess up my circle? Probably. It does seem like it would be a great way to get non-stamping scrapbookers into the whole stamping game.

It is a neat contraption - but not my cup of tea for the type of cards I make. I hardly ever stamp backgrounds, but use pattern paper or embossing folders instead.

The stamps I use and like the most are those with images I can color.

I'm expecting to do a review of this for Craft Gossip when it comes out in August. I don't have any price info on it yet though. I'm excited to try it, it looks really cool.

Has anyone tried this yet? I saw a demo today at a LSS and bought the deluxe starter and two additional stamp sets. The deluxe kit has all four gears...2 circles and 2 ovals. It was $55 but now seeing it online for $50. Happy to give local LSS the biz though. It also includes 4 stamp sets that aren't available outside of the kit. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet. If you have, please let us know what you think! Looking forward to trying it with some of my other stamp sets too.

I saw this at my Hobby Lobby store. The large circle & oval were $8.99 and the small one was $6.99. The clear piece where you adhere your stamp was $14.99. They had various stamps, too, but I don't remember the price of those.

Saw this demo'd on a video but I don't need to make my own designer paper. A clerk was putting the pieces to this system up at JoAnn's. There were various pieces sold separately and the 'whole' system packaged together for ($50?). The clerk made a comment, 'Once the stock they had was gone, they (JoAnn's) wouldn't have replacement or add'l items.

Yep as someone else said, it looks like the old spirograph.

Having said that, I do like the simplicity of the card.

It is very easy to use. The stamps that come with it are red rubber on cling foam and there is a grid on the paddle for lining them up.

I wanted to try to use some of my photo polymer stamps and discovered they were too thin. The solution I found was to layer two of the clear stamps on top of each other and it worked perfectly.

Although I have the smallest round and oval gears, the resulting images seem too large for cards. That's why my design had the image going off the page. For scrapbooking the size seems perfect.

I did try to get the rings yesterday which can make smaller designs, but they were not available here locally.

I saw a whole display at Michaels of these yesterday here in Vegas. I didnt pay too much attention though because I purchase everything wholesale. I cannot remember what the price they had was. Since there are 50% off coupons out now that would make it an excellent deal if anyone wanted one.
blessings.

I got these and I tried them out a few days ago and here is my take:
#1. I think I'll really enjoy these, especially layering designs once I get my coordination together (see #2).
#2. I had a little trouble coordinating holding the gear and moving the stamp paddle with the stamp around the gear while trying to keep my hands out of the way and trying to get all of the way around the gear without turning the gear (I hope you can understand what I'm saying !) but I think I can get past this with some practice. My first try at this was hilarious, but I did improve when I gave it a second attempt. I'm not all that coordinated to start out with, so this was more of a challenge for me than it may be for others.
#3. I really like the stamp images themselves - all of them - and I can use the stamps with or without the gear.
#4. The only thing that I don't think is going to work too well for me is that three of the gears are large and I don't work in large formats, so I'm not sure that I'll get too much use for them unless I figure out a way to use them on smaller scale projects. That said, they're probably terrific if you're working on 12" x 12" paper or larger. The smallest, round gear is what I tried and that's the one that I think will work for me a lot of the time, but I can also just use portions/sections of the larger gears.

All in all, I'm glad that I got them and I think it will be fun to come up with all kinds of creative combinations and layers - so many possibilities, really. What I stamped last night was for a background for an ATC and I stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder and I really liked the look - kind of feathery and symmetrical all at once (I combined two of the stamp designs).

HTH.

they sent me one to review and i really like! i saw it at cha and immediately thought of spirograph too - man i spent countless hours with my spirograph set! i used it on a journal page which i have not put up yet - waiting for my review to be apporved for posting through favecrafts - but it was a large format type thing - not sure how well it would work for people who do only cards BUT i like doing big stuff - wall canvases and things like that so i know i will love it. i am about to start on a canvas bag for my daughter and i will be using them for part of the layers on the background. i think they will make for cute christmas wreaths using a christmas stamp too - hoping i cna get to that project!

I forgot to link my review here
Product Review: Stamping Gear from Inkadinkdo Stamping | CraftGossip.com

Queen of Inkland- with your #2 issue I found if I worked on a scrap piece of paper and turned that paper while I worked instead of moving the gear or twisting my hand around it helped that problem a lot.
