Are there any videos or guidelines on using pattern paper. I have tons but not a clue as to how to use them. I see 3 or 4 patterns on a card and it looks good I try to duplicate and it is a hot mess.
I love using designer paper, but mostly use small designs for my cards. The ones that have a bit of design on them, but not too many color or too big of a design.
Shimelle Laine [The Adventures of Glitter Girl] has good video tutorials on using patterned paper. I find these very helpful even though the tutorials are for scrapbooking, and I don't scrapbook. The first link below is a tutorial on using a set of patterned papers. The second link is to all her videos. She uses a lot of patterned paper on her layouts, and there are good tips in all of them.
I pretty much found if you use the ones in the same book, they look pretty good together. I've gone back to making my own again though since I find more satisfaction doing that.
Louisa May,
Both your links come up as videos. Did I do something wrong?
You didn't do anything wrong. I linked Shimelle Laine's video tutorials on using patterned papers. They're for scrapbooking, which I don't do, but her ideas are so helpful for other paper crafts.

Thanks, both links come up exactly the same for me, but I get the info you were sending.

Sorry about that. "The Adventures of Glitter Girl" is the name of her series on Youtube (also at Two Peas in a Pod's online store, for which she designs). Her tutorials are answers to very specific problems raised on the Two Peas Message Boards.
