Default TLC387 ~ Pleated or Ruched Ribbon ~ (7/23/12)

TLC387 ~ Pleated or Ruched Ribbon ~ (7/23/12)

Today we are pleating and ruching ribbon! For this challenge, please do not use ribbon that comes already pleated. We want to start with FLAT RIBBON and do the pleating/ruching ourselves!

There are several different ways to do this. In my three examples, I use Scor-Tape to hold my ribbon down, and in the newest sample linked below I tie Baker's Twine on top of that to help it stay in place.

Here is a link to the SCS Resources section with a tutorial on pleating using staples.

And the definition of "ruche" - a strip of pleated lace, net, muslin, or other material for trimming or finishing

My sample: FOREVER
Also see the attached thumbnails for examples already in my gallery.

When uploading, please use KEYWORD TLC387 (no spaces!).

I hope you will play along!
