WT384 - Hit the Beach (7/19/12)

Greetings friends and fellow stampers! Cathy here with another Ways To Use It Challenge and it's perfect for these dog days of summer. It's no secret that in addition to golden retrievers, I love the beach. In fact, I'm heading there on Sunday, so to help me get geared up for my vacation...not that I need much coaxing when it comes to going to the shore...my challenge to you is to "Hit the Beach!" Create a card that uses at least one beach item...real, faux, stamped, or created! Let's fill the gallery with sun, waves, shells, and sand or anything else you might find at the beach! I have a feeling that as the gallery fill up with wonderful projects from the shore, we'll all be wanting to "Hit the Beach!" Have fun!

This was a great idea. I love the beach, but not the crowded beach. I love walking forever looking for seashells and/or whatever else turns up. I love the quietness and the sound of the waves lapping. After our last vacation, I even know where to find a beached boat. Here's my card

Cathy- great challenge, thank you! I used SU's The Open Sea for my ship image, and paired it with Jim Holtz' Pocket Watches for my weathered clock. I added some sewing on the rickrack- so this is suitable for WT383, too Here's Time For Travel

Well - you have to imagine the beach - but here's the ocean and the sun! I combined the challenge with the QFTD and the Free 4 all - weather!

I combined this card with the CAS180 challenge. The seashells were gathered on the beach at Fenwick Island Delaware during our vacation last month. A daub of crystal effects makes them stand out.

I liked this DSP so I was inspired to go a second card. I colored the image with chalks for a subtle addition of colors that picked up the colors of the seashells in the DSP.
