No, unfortunately not.
I know what you mean, we had cats growing up also and now my middle daughter really wants a kitten. We've sort of adopted a stray that basically peeks her head in anytime she wants to be fed so that is our extent of having a cat right now. Every time I look at my avatar though I wonder how that kitten can keep its head up with that giant frog on it. LOL!
