I've never seen a hexagon punch, but I have seen nesting hexagon dies by Quickutz. There are 15 dies in the set ranging in size from .5" to 5.7". It costs about $23.
Quickutz are made by Lifestyle Crafts. I have a couple of sets of Lifestyle Crafts dies and like them because they are able to cut thicker materials than a lot of other steel dies. The only thing is that you need to make sure you don't over-shim your sandwich, otherwise the die will get so deeply embedded into your cutting plate, that you'll need to pry it out.
Interesting coming across the inquiry. I was with a friend yesterday and she has been looking for a hexagon punch for quite awhile. Will let her know about this discussion!
I am torn between getting the MFT hexagon border and the quickkutz hexagon die. The border die might be easier to do multiples...but it might be nice to have them as nested shapes...decisions decisions!

Come to think of it I've never, ever seen one in my local stores. Same with an egg shape punch. I've looked for over 2 years for one and nothing. So I've made do with punching an oval then rounding off one end with a circle punch.

thank you for all of the advice! you would think that with the popularity of hexagons right now, some of the other punch companies would get on the band wagon. ;)
Wow, I'm impressed! They heard you:
Spellbinders Paper Arts S4-368 Hexagons and the S5-138 Octagon Strips and Accents Thinking Inking
CM is releasing a hexagon punch that you can punch anywhere on the page in July/August...they discontinued their older one.
Spellbinders has hexagons coming at cha summer? See scrapyland website
Found this thread as a result of a search for hexagon punches. Hoping SU will come up with one that will match their embossing folder. Until then, I do see that Epiphany Crafts has a hex punch that will match their hex clear plastic things. Fingers crossed for the new catalog in a month!
Fiskars has hexagon punches. They're at JoAnn's -- rolling them out slowly. Only 1 of my JoAnn's has them (and they're sold out now) There are some CM ones on Ebay. Not sure about Etsy.
I had a CM hexagon punch, never used so I sold it!! UGH!! And of course everything is hexagon now!! I purchased 2 of them at Joanns. They are the squeeze type punches. I bought the medium & large size. (I knew that if I bought one or the other, I would end up needing the one I didn't buy, so I bought both!! ;) ) They are very easy to use!
I saw one in the new Stampin' UP catalog for 2013-14.
I mentioned that a littler earlier. The trouble is, it appears to be bigger than what I want. I want one that will punch a hexagon that will fit inside the hexagon shape on SU's honeycomb embossing folder, but the one they have in the new cattly looks larger than the 1" punch...

It might look larger than the embossing folder, because they enlarge the details in the sneak peek pdf.'s. I can't imagine that the hexagon punch would be bigger than the hexagon on the embossing folder, but I could be wrong.
I did see where Mary Fish had a one minute to wow video tutorial where she embossed the cs using the hexagon folder then cut out the hexagon with the paper snips and then layered it on a card that had been run through the hexagon embossing folder.
I don't think I'll bother getting the hexagon punch; even though I'm not surprised they are introducing the punch in the new catty.

I didn't think they would make it bigger either and I know the pictures are larger than actual size, but I was looking at the 1" punch on the same page and the hexagon looked bigger than that. I will be thrilled if it is just the right size for the folder.....that's exactly what I want. I wonder if there is anywhere we could find it's measurements?
I wouldn't be surprised if a demo pre-ordered the hexagon punch and could tell you what the actual dimension of the punched cardstock is. I'd be wondering too if the punched cardstock would fit perfectly into the embossed hexagon....
then I wouldn't feel the need to purchase the punch, KWIM? ;)
