Default Summer Distress Inks!!!

Oh no, just when I told myself I have all the Distress Ink colors I need. (I made a deal with myself to get a ROYGBIV assortment only). Now I see this video of the release of the new Summer Seasonal Distress Inks
Picked Rasberry
Mowed Lawn
Salty Ocean

They make me want to jump in the pool! So summery and bright!

YES!! I saw them too.
I am very happy that Ranger is filling in the colors we need for water coloring.
Not everyone is a fan of the distressed/shabby look.

The video isn't working for me but I can see the colors that Tim is holding
Can't wait to get them.

LazorKay that is exactly what I said! LOL! I think I will wait to see if they have them at the Scrapbook Expo at the end of the month. It is technically only two weeks away... I probably wouldn't get them must faster if I order them online. Must control myself!

Just a heads up

Yesterday Oozak got in 72 sets of the new Summer Distress ink pads
Today he only has 17 of them left for sale.

If you really want these it may be wise to order them somewhere while you can still get them . Looks like they are selling out quickly

Only 14 left now. I had to do it....it was like peer pressure. I had to order them from Oozak. I know with the way Rusty ships I will have them to play with by Friday :0)

So much for waiting until Scrapbook Expo in two weeks. I like Rusty's price too, $4.50 less than the other stores I saw offering them.

I won't have mine until at least next week because I ordered the reinkers too. Rusty said on the site he expects the reinkers around June 18th and will hold the ink pads to ship with the reinkers when they come in .

I am fine with that! I know I will get them as soon as he can ship them.

I like doing business with Oozak. I can always trust the order is correct and is shipped as fast as possible

I also ordered refills so mine will be held, but I would rather get the refills now so I don't have to think about it. Can't wait to see these in person, they look so bright and cheerful! And I will second the service you get from Oozak, they are awesome!

Wow..only 8 left at Oozak. LOL! They are flying off the shelves. I ordered mine yesterday and they shipped out yesterday too! So excited. Mine just left Grand Rapids...I know they will be here by Saturday at the latest. I love that you know when your order is processed packed and shipped. Rusty rocks!

The Oozak Update on the Summer Distress ink pad sets

He got in 72 sets and they are ALL GONE

For the Spring sets he found a different supplier to get a few more sets .
Maybe he will be able to do that for the Summer sets too, but there are no guarantees of that .

I will look forward to getting these to round out my set. I have the reinkers and love them. I have all the pads and most of them often. I only have two colors in the line that I hardly use. I should try using them more...That may be my challenge one day.

I got notification from Oozak that my ink pads and reinkers shipped Friday.
I just checked the tracking info and they arrived this afternoon at the Post Office only 22 miles from my house .
I wish tomorrow was Monday

I picked mine up yesterday. Between these and the spring colors, I'm in color heaven! I'm not much into drab, dull colors, so these are a nice addition to the line.

Ok I was inspired to play with them last night. Attached is a card/tag. It shows how the colors look on the manilla tag vs. on white cardstock. I spritzed, sponged, and applied with water brush.

I got my Distress ink pads today
They are very bright colors

Picked Raspberry is a hot pink very close to Copic RV04 - watered down it is like Memento Angel Pink

Mowed grass is a yellow green . It is slightly more intense than Copic YG05

Salty Ocean is very close to Copic B04

I like the Salty Ocean and the Mowed grass very much either undiluted or watered down.
The Picked Raspberry is a beautiful soft pink when watered down but a bit too intense for me undiluted except for shadows . It is HOT pink

Hope this helps

i hope this is the start of a new trend - cos distressed and vintage doesn't have to mean dark and grungy!
beautiful bright colours and i think they are great for contemporary xmas too.

Do you guys think that more colors are going to be released?

I have all of them and their reinkers.

It started off with the original 12...That was great!
Then it was 12 NEW ones to fill in the color spectrum. Great got the 12 new ones as well.

Then there were the Autumn Limited Edition ones! Check!
Then there were the Winter Limited Edition ones! Check!
Then there were the Spring Limited Edition ones PLUS reinkers! Check!
NOW...Guess WHAT? The NEW Summer Limited Edition one PLUS reinkers PLUS the reinkers for the 1st two Limited Edition sets. Check!

I have had to reorganize how I store these as well as the blender tools about 6 different times. So I was curious if I should plan ahead and reorganize with room for growth. (about 12 a year?)

Speaking of which...how do you guys store yours?

There are 48 Distress Ink pad/reinkers - I think now the other Distress products (Stains, Stickles, Markers, EP, etc.) will start filling in those colors.

I am curious
I have seen so many marbled backgrounds done with distress inks on manilla tags
What do you do with all of these tags?

I put my tag on a card. You could put them on scrapbook pages too. You could use them as gift tags on presents.

How does everyone store their's? I store mine in a plastic storage drawer. It is shaped like a shoebox but instead of opening at the top it slides out from the front. I have velcro on each pad with the foam blender attached.

Does anybody know where I can get the spring Distress Inks? I don't want to wait until next spring when they resell them as the colors are what I would like now. Thanx. (Oh, and I just emailed Oozak to see if there are more coming in.) They are an awesome company to deal with...and the shipping got here in 3 days prompt! Cool.

Happy you got your Spring colors!!
Rusty at Oozak has been searching every where possible to get a few more sets here and there to accommodate his customers .
Every few days a few more sets show up on the site

Unlike some companies that say when they are gone they are gone

I had my first mistake on an order in over 2 years. I ordered a dew drop ink pad and I got a reinker instead . Within less than a HALF HOUR of speaking to Rusty about this, I got a shipping notice and tracking number for the dew drop ink pad which was on it's way . I got it in 3 days with an apology.

I have never been disappointed with Oozak and lord knows I have placed a lot of orders with him
