My fav white craft ink is SU and to get good results I use an embossing buddy first, make sure my pad is nice an juicy (I reink before each use if it's been a while since I used it last), I tap the pad onto the stamp so as not to over ink. If I smoosh the stamp into the pad it will be blotchy.
Sometimes I emboss and sometimes I don't but I always heat set. This is the same if using Very Vanilla. Be sure to shake up your embossing powder before using at it settles after awhile.
Here is a sample of VV (not embossed) - the coverage is not 100% perfect but it's not bad.
