Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Demonstrators will be able to receive their first copy in their first demo order they place on May 7th and after. They will also be able to see the catalog online on May 7th, but they are not supposed to post it on any other websites including this one. Otherwise, customers will be able to view the online catalog on June 1st.
However, if you have a demo, you can ask her to send one to you directly. We now have the capability to preorder individual catalogs for our customers and have them sent from SU! to you. Customer catalogs ordered in this manner will be mailed on May 14th. You would pay $5 to have one mailed to you, as that is what it costs your demo to send it.
Your demo can also order boxes of catalogs starting on May 7th, so if you are local to her area and want to get one of those, I would ask her to set one aside for you that you can pick up.
Someone told me they were issuing 2 per year again. Is this true?
No.
There will be one annual catalogue.
Instead of mini catalogues, there will be two "seasonal catalogues". These will be bigger than the past mini catalogues have been. One will be Holidays (Aug - Dec), the other will be Occasions (Jan - May).
No. Just one annual catalog and 2 seasonal supplements. Like the minis but because they will be larger (I think 8 1/2 X 11) they won't be called mini any longer. Each one will be good for 5 months ( like August through December) and SalABration will be during the other 2 months.

My friend, who's a demo, is really excited about the new changes. I'm looking forward to it too.
I'm a new demo and saw the catalog today and it looks amazing! There are alot of new things that i think everyone will be excited for. I placed a single item order just so i could get my hands on the hard copy!!
Yup, the catty is great and they've done some wonderful improvements to the tools while streamlining the ink/ribbon/embellishment offerings. I think you all will really like it! I enjoyed it online but can't wait to see it in person later this week. Kathy, hopefully your demo will get hers soon and will let you come over and peek.
I don't think awesome is an awesomenest word to describe this year's new catalog. I have spent hours looking at it online today. June 1st will not come fast enough.

I was a bit concerned about the big catalog after seeing all the retired items, and even the sneak peek for demos. Those choices seemed limited and not much in my styles. BUT today went through the new big catty and my wish list is the longest ever so far. And as usual, SU did not disappoint. I am a new demo, and plan to start with classes and workshops in late summer. I can hardly wait to order, and sure going to need some good sales, to keep on with the products that interest me the most. Glad we have a great year ahead. There is enough variety, that I think most people, young, old will like the new one. Certainly it is much better than last years!
I'm still confused about Sale-a-Bration, in terms of when it's giong to happen. That said, the last couple years SAB hasn't excited me much.
I can't wait to see the new catalogue irl. My demo is having a customer appreciation ngiht on the 16th and I'm hoping she'll have it for us to peek at, though I won't hold my breath.

SAB will happen around the time it normally does...in the Jan-March timeframe. They never tell us the exact dates until much closer so no worries:-) It will still be there! It's not considered a catalog, it's a promotion so it doesn't matter the catalog strategy. We will have it during the occasions seasonal catalog period!
I hope your demo has her catalogs! I'll have mine before 10:30 today....I need to go to the gym instead of sitting here waiting, ha!!!

Tang, we don't know yet WHEN Sale-a-Bration will happen. But it will happen. I wouldn't worry too much about that!
I hope your demo has the catalogue for you on the 16th ... at least to drool over.
Unfortunately, nothing hockey though ... :(
Thanks to who ever posted a link the NEW Catalog!! I'm in REAL Trouble :p
My list so far is HUGH! Just in Stamps I have over $200.00 And let's not talk about the New in color's or Designer Papers, Or Embellishments......My list goes on and on.
Now I know I will NEED to get a job in order to pay for it all.
I just wanted to add, The samples in the Catalog are so awesome!!!!
Or you can get the new starter kit that's $99, no shipping; and you can order up to $125 worth of products! ;) Then you can get discounts on the rest of your wishlist!
I am very upset to see this post.
It is against SU Policy to have this posted and this post should be removed.
One of the fun things about being a demo is that fact that you get to see the Catalog BEFORE everyone else, this also give us (Demos) time to prepare and get to know our catalog before our customers see it.
Many Demos I know are planning BIG catalog release gatherings/workshops/party/swaps, whatever you want to call it.
Its very sad to see this post.

It happens every time a New Catalog is coming out. The only way to control this issue is to contact a Mod and have them remove the link.

(I'm sure this post will get removed... no worries)This board is so confussing to me, I post a message saying that I'm hosting a Blog hop for SU demo it gets removed with 2 mins of being up because "I'm promoting" my blog/business, God FORBID ... but really someone post the private information about a company and that this board can't be bothered to remove the post.... really ..... really!
Maybe the person posting it didn't know it wasn't suppose to be posted, its fine, but if this board can remove post the way they do (I've got my post removed many many times because I didn't know all the "RULES") with every other post. That is unreal to me.
Just because it happens every year doesn't mean its RIGHT, or OK

SCS and SU are two totally separate entities. SCS has it's own set of rules (terms of service) and SU has theirs. Promoting your own business on this site is against the TOS. Posting links to catalogs before release date is against SU policy, not SCS. The poster is doing nothing wrong per SCS even if it is against SU policy. The mods can't do much about it.
I don't like it either as a rule follower but it is what it is. It happens with all the minis (not usually with the big catty since it's not available digitally usually like it was this year. I DO feel badly for those demo who end up losing sales from it being posted when it's not supposed to! I used to get my panties in a bunch over it....but that never helped:-) Off to look at my real paper version...it's so much better!!!! Oh and play with my awesome new ink pads;-)
