Here is a slightly different card size to use as your canvas.
Cut your cardstock base: 6x7 inches. Then score so that your finished card measures 6 x 3.6 inches. Decorate as needed. These diminutive cards fit nicely into those standard small envelopes sold nearly everywhere. Not only is it a fun size, but you can save some $$ when buying envies!

A sleeker card shape, Dawn. I don't think it really saves $$ for me tho', since only one card can be cute from an 8.5" x 11" piece of CS(other than DPs, I rarely buy 12 x 12 CS). I purchase 100 count boxes of "invitation"(A2) envelopes from the big box office supply stores...coupon in hand. : ) This new size will be a good reason to buy the 12 x 12 CS to get 2 cards out of one piece of paper. Thanks for a fun Friday challenge.
Dawn- thanks for the great challenge! Sorry my dimensions are a little wonky- it's 6 am and I am off to my work!
Here's Enjoy Your Day- dedicated to all the hard working moms out there!

What a fun size! I think I'll knock out a Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law this evening, too. Meanwhile, I incorporated two other challenges into my card. It's here: A Sketch for the Birds
Here's my Tall, yet Small card, complete with a bird to qualify for today's F4A challenge as well as yesterday's WT374. This is a perfect size for a quick note.
