Thought that title might get your attention! This original post is long but it will be worth the read! This is no scam! If you are a fan of The Man, this will be very important business! You can get a man! Even if you already have a man that you dearly love!
You can have another.....
The Wild Wild West Man!
We just need a little help from our friends!
Our friends at Stampin Up!
This is my story:
1. It's no secret that I love Stampin' Up's stamp set called Wild Wild West. If you don't know what set I am talking about, its one that has been retired by Stampin Up. Click on any of the blue links in this original post to see which set I am talking about. I personally don't know what my obbession for The Man is, it might be that I grew up around horses and The Man reminds me of my dad or it just might be something more simple, like the way The Man carries a saddle! Nobody carries a saddle better than he! Snort! But back in the day, I pretty much made it known to the World of SCS, that I was on a mission to acquire The Man and would stop at nothing. Theft, dumpster diving, dishonest schemes, bribery, trickery, you name it! I'd do it! And then one day........
2. My birthday arrived! And an amazing thing happened! A kind and generous group of SCS stampers band together, pitched in a few bucks each, purchased The Man (Wild Wild West) through e-bay and surprised me for my birthday! Whoa Baby! In honor of that amazing day, I started a new blogdedicated to The Man to thank that amazing group of SCS stampers. A blog called Women of The Wild Wild West featuring cards made by my fellow stampers which were inspired by and created with The Man! Having my own SU Wild Wild West stamp set is such a joy! Having The Man carry his saddle in my stamp room everday is really awesome!!
3. I would really like every SCSer who wants this awesome stamp set, who wants The Man, to have it! So, when Sue (irishgreensue) and I were chatting about The Man and how wonderful it would be if Stampin' Up would bring back/re-introduce some old retired sets in celebration of their 25th Anniversary next year, we thought.....
Wild Wild West! The Man! Let's start a campaign and bring him back! Take the poll attached to this thread!
Make your feelings known!
4. So here is the plan, Stan. Stan is a ranch hand friend of The Man! He is definately not as good looking and can't begin to carry a saddle like The Man, but he is a heck of a nice guy! Here's what we can do to bring The Man back!
4. Contact your Stampin' Up Demo. Ask her to contact her up-line or Stampin' Up directly. Let her know you would purchase the set if they brought it back.
5. Post a comment on this thread! Let everyone know that you love this stamp set, that you would love to see it re-introduced in Celebration of 25 years of Stampin' up and that you would love to purchase it if they brought it back!
6. Share a link to this thread. Pass the word, to all of your stamping friends who may want to purchase this set. Ask them to join the campaign!
7. Contribute to the Women of the Wild Wild West Blog.If you are lucky enough to own this set or have received stamped images from your friends, join the Women of the Wild Wild West Blog by emailing me photos of cards you have made with it and I will post them on the blog. The more *evidence* of amazing cards the better! I am happy to show off your *evidence* to the world!
8. Visit, subscribe, and enjoy the Women of the Wild Wild West Blog. The wonderful art being created with this awesome set is truly amazing!! Comment there! Let Stampin' Up know you want this set! I plan to get Stampin' Up aware of that blog one way or another! Snort!
9. Share your ideas here. Do you have any additional ideas to promote this idea to Stampin' Up here. Let's put our heads together to get this done!
10. Darn it! I really wanted to have 10 Steps to Success! Hmmm...I need one more! Oh, okay, I know! I know! Write somebody important! Write the President, your Congressman, Senator, City Councilman, Mayor or local Rodeo Queen! Write everybody!
Snort!
OK, I am a demo and I've called demo support about this already. They said they'd send my request upline, but in the meantime, I was to go to the demo website, click on Products, find the "Sandbox" in the list on the left side of the page, and put my request there too. I have done that. All demos should do that. Mudder, YES, I'm sure interested!!! I voted for BOTH, snort!!!

Oh yeah! I have DA MAN and can see me 'gittin' even more of DA MAN if he's made available! Goin' to the demo "sandbox" to request the return of DA MAN.
Cindy you are tooo funny. YES!!!!! I desperately desire this set. I have sent an email and have a letter ready to go in the mail. I am going to the blog that I am now aware of and will send you the ones I have done with some PIF images I received years ago and have hoarded them. I am also forwarding this to other stampers I know that are not in the attached list.
Thank you for your encouragement and informative notice. I am on bended knees that SU will hear our pleas.
Wanna get me some of that hunka MAN!! YEE-HAAAAWWWWWW!

Have printed out the address, phone number and e-mail to begin my campaign to bring back DA MAN!!!!! I have a few coveted images of him from my friend Greenie. He recently played hide and seek with me as I reorganized by stamp room, but I found HimLOL and now I'm gonna play with Him before I send him to the Women of the Wild Wild West. I am however, a needy, and selfish woman, so I NEED Stampin Up to bring him back so I can stamp him where ever and when ever I want!!!!!

I am one who started stamping after da man went to the sandbox. Oh, that sounded all wrong. Snort! I've seen the wonderful images that have been made with him and I would spend my last dime to own him.
I voted for both too.

BRING THE MAN BACK!!! I know Pamzi thinks she has this man all to herself but I know I would LOVE to have "The MAN" in my collection so I could flaunt him in front of all my friends. I was just thinking today that I might have to go with a Pirate-but I would definitely buy the "MAN"!!! I have been a follower of the Woman of the Wild Wild West for a few years now-but I can't contribute as I have no "man". Will someone take pity on me and send me a man so I can dude him out and join!!!! lol I recently did some wild west cards but they are lonely without a "man"!!! These need a "man"
Some years back SU brought back some old retired stamps as part of one of their BIG anniversary years and made them available for a short period of time. That's when I got my Stella Stamper, so maybe if they have another BIG birthday coming up anytime soon, they will follow that same idea and bring back THE MAN we all love. I'm from Texas, but I don't think it's just Texans that love him, right?

I belong to a country and western dance club and I love to make western cards for my friends. This set is awesome and I'd definitely like to have it in my collection. I hope SU decides to bring it back!!!
You girls make me smile (of course that maybe cuz I already own da man ;) )
Here's my story: When THE man came out originally I was a poor little country mouse with three toddlers, and no money in the budget for stamps of any kind, not even postage stamps most days! But my demo at the time had purchased him and invited me to a stamp camp where I got to work with the man all day. I'm almost embarassed to admit that I almost set him on fire learning how to do the "soot" technique on one of the cards! Anyway I totally fell in love with that set, and my wonderful friend and demo, tirelessly loaned him to me more times than I can count. About two years passed and my friend found herself in the position of having a second family (her two oldest kids are in 10th & 12th grade, her babies are in Kindergarten & 2nd grade) now THAT would have made me cry! However, she loved it and one day about four years I yet again asked to borrow the man, that time she "loaned" it to me with a pretty ribbon and bow and told me to give him a home at my house because she never worked with him anymore! I didn't pee my pants but I did cry! She told me if she ever needed him this way she knew where he'd be because she knew I'd NEVER sell him. She's right I still have him, although to be honest he needs some dusting ;) I need to check out this Women of the Wild Wild West blog, I didn't know about it! Is it okay if I link it to my blog? (which sadly is very neglected, if you care to know why you can look, although I think I'm ready to go back to it)
Speaking of which Cindy, how do I vote if I alread have him? You don't have "nanner, nanner, booboo, sucks to be you" choice :p

Patty, you are a riot!! Loved your story, but do whatever you can, bug SU, by mail, email and phone, (even though you own him - but don't tell them that!) spread the word to all your stamping buddies - we have to take SU by storm to let them see how popular the MAN is - tell them there is a campaign to get him back and you are one woman who 'wants' him!!!
Thanks for your help!!

Oh mudder................I KNEW you had to be involved in this when I first read the message..... You go girl................get our man and we'll all get to play in the "man" challenges !!! woooo hooooo

WOW. You are so lucky to have received that stamp set from the wonderful folks at SCS.
I'm guilty. I WANT the man too! I almost purchased it when it was being retired and NOW I am kicking myself in the hiney for NOT! Actually, I can't kick myself, but everytime I think of my HUGE mistake, I ask the nearest person to kick me for me, snort! I don't understand why they run away so fast giving me a strange look, I guess they don't love the MAN as much as I (and you).
I'd LOVE to create something special with the MAN for posting to your awesome blog, but I have no images. IF someone were so kind, I'd love to have him stamped in Brilliance black on Canson 90 lb. watercolor paper JUST so that I could make something special and post on your blog in support of bringing back that saddle carrying MAN.
If SU brought HIM back, I would pay DOUBLE the original price, I'd buy clear, red rubber, and the digital set... I'd even buy any matching patterned papers they might make or ribbons/embellishments.... Let me tell you, I'd break the bank on getting THE MAN!

OK, I just thought of something how about su bringing him back as "DA MAN" and maybe there could be "DA Woman" or "DA LADY" Heck I think we should all be working for su and making them lots of money with coming up with a set like this. Maybe there could be an accessories set with boots, bandanas and all kinds of stuff...how cool would that be?? Get the depends ready~hee hee

I too began stamping after the retirement of DA MAN. I certainly would love to meet him up close and personal! He has proven his durability at the hands of many a women and I'm sure he would do right by me. :-) I vote to bring him back!
I would love an accessory set too. That would be so cool! I love western themes and it's hard to find good sets with original images. I just sent an e-mail to SU asking them to bring Wild Wild West back!!
I have to admit that I am one of the insane people who paid over $150 to purchase this set on Ebay. My DH bought it for me two years ago as a Christmas present. It is my favorite set and always will be. Since I am insane, if they brought it back I would buy another set! Maybe even two. I would give a set to my Mom (who also loves Da Man) and to my Aunt Joan (who drools everytime I bring it to a crop at her house). I plan to write the President soon about this important matter. Every home needs this stamp set!

I love the idea of accessory sets and the Da Woman set that Sue suggested. We could make SU! some serious money. They need to listen to us smart gals!

Ooooh, I wish SU would bring back The Wild Wild West set. Any other accessories would be great too. WE MUST HAVE OUR COWBOY BACK! I did an e-mail to SU marketing also.
