In the last couple of days. I've posted New cards in the gallery. And no one has commented on either of them.
I know I made good quality cards. It's Amazing how many cards go unnoticed.
There are days that I spend just in the gallery to view and comment on the cards and ideas that I see.
Yes I totally understand that there are many of you that don't have the time to leave a comment. But it you have the time to look. Then you have time to leave a comment.
Just my thought for today. If you like it. Leave a comment.
I will pop over. I get to look at them in the late evenings some days and try to comment on a few each day. I think there are just so many that it isn't a reflection on the work, but what a large group we are.
I've found that the cards I make for challenges get comments, but the cards I make just for fun seem to be ignored. It's not just you! But these days, I try to remind myself that if I have the time to post a card, I better remember to browse the gallery and leave some love, too!
I know I am guilty of looking and favoriting without commenting. I'll have to be better about that. It is always nice to have compliments on your work.
Some of us have not even had time to look at the gallery. It probably won't get better with summer approaching also. I don't upload anymore, except for challenges. Some day I hope to have more time.

I "favorite" cards...does the person who made the card know when that has happened? I guess I need to start leaving comments because I am ALWAYS snoopin' around the gallery!!

I know how you feel, I have a lot of cards in my gallery that have 0 comments, or only 1 or 2. I think there's just too many cards in the gallery to get a lot of comments. I know I don't have a lot of time to spend even looking in the gallery sometimes, let alone leaving comments. But when I look, I do try to comment.
Your cards are great, by the the way!

Nancy, I just made a little visit to comment on your lovely cards. I think many on the site have found that there's a different pattern of viewing and commenting now that people have their own blogs. I find my cards don't get much in the way of comments outside of the challenges. Which is ok, as I participate in the challenges regularly so I get some love from the gallery to get me by. Come join us some day...
Isn't there a counter that tells how often the card had been "viewed"? If people have taken the time to view the card---to actually see it bigger. to get a closer look at the details---that should mean a lot! I don't take the time to leave a comment because it slows down my computer and I hate all the "back' clicking I have to do to get back to the gallery......but when I see a card in the gallery that catches my eye for any reason, I do click on the picture to view the bigger card, see the details, colors, etc. and maybe even "favorite" it. Just knowing people have looked at your card should give you a warm, fuzzy feeling!

I don't get any comments when I post in the gallery for making some cards on my own for what ever reason. However when I participate in a challenge, then the card will get some comments. Lately I have been so very busy at work, I just have not had time to post in the gallery at all. I'll make a card and send it before I remember to take a picture, and upload it. I love comments just as much as anyone, but I just have run out of time. Right now I am printing some instructions so I am perusing the forums while I wait for the printer to finish. Then off I go to create. Need this relaxing time bad!
I saw your card with the Stampinup stamp with the red rose and maybe a hydrangea. You said it was retired. I'd like to find this stamp. Do you know the name of it? Thanks. Bobbi.
There have been many threads about this exact subject. There are so many cards posted in the gallery everyday and so many wonderful ones go unnoticed which is really too bad!! I try and comment whenever I can but I think life gets so busy and people run out of time or are in a hurry. Don't get discouraged....if you want your cards to get comments, play along in the challenges. Personally, I don't worry about it too much and I feel if I am satisfied with what I have created that is all that matters.

This is a tip that was given to me to help speed up the commenting process. Perhaps it will help you.
While holding down your Ctrl Button, click on the gallery photo you would like to enlarge and comment on. This will bring up another window near the top of your screen. Click on that new window which will enlarge the gallery photo you're interested in. You can then type your comment and hit the submit button. After your comment is saved, go back to the new window at the top of your screen, click on the "X" and you will be returned to the full gallery page.

When I am in the gallery, I just right click on the photo in the gallery and then open it in a new window. I open a few at a time and then I can comment but still go back to the main gallery where I left off....
For me, personally, I haven't had much time lately to keep up with the vast amount of cards in the gallery. Sometimes when I do, it's at work, and I can't log in to "favorite" or comment, because we have internet filters. So I can view cards in the gallery, but not post a comment or read/comment in the forums. Weird, but that's how it is.

Thanks so much for this tip; sure saves time especially for this non-computer savvy person! Diane
