MMTPT195-April 24, 2012- There's a New Tea Parlor in Towne
Welcome to Teapot Tuesday
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge #195
There's a new tea parlor in towne.
Girls this week we are off to Old towne to help open up a new tea parlor in grand style. Yeah, there's a catch; there's always a catch when 42,000 teapotters are invited anywhere....but hey, catches are what we are good at fixing. Our reputation precedes us.
The rest of the story:
1: Oh my, who woulda thought one little tattoo parlor could be the scene of such drama? It seems the city biggies are in cahoots with the bullies and there are already enough tattoo parlors. Yep, no more allowed, and they've closed down Cindy Lou's Lady's House of Ink! For shame, Cindy Lou thought, "I'm not going to let them bully me into giving up my dream!" I'll show them, she vowed.
2: Enter Candy Sue, Cindy Lou's cousin twice removed who has a plan. A plan that involves a little subterfuge. Maybe some smoke and mirrors. She's good at that sort of thing. This plan will surely work she assures Cindy Lou. We can't fail, tea parties are all the rage, and there's an empty building down in Old Towne that wil be just perfect. But wait.....what do teaparties and tattoos have in common wonders Cindy Lou? She just wanted to create tattoos for the ladies without mind numbing music rattling the walls and the sweaty obnoxious bad boys hangin around. A place where the ladies would be comfortable while they had their backsides and dainty ankles inked. A place where some order reigns, some jazz tunes play and maybe some wine flows. "Not a problem", Candy Sue assures her. the tea parlor is a front; to fit into the Old Towne area, we'll have a beautiful tea house up front and in back, the ladies can get their tats undisturbed. It'll be perfect, you'll see!!
3: The building in question is in need of some serious prettification so Candy Sue puts out a call to the cousins Sandy Lou and Sindy Sue who come running with paint brushes, wallpaper samples, and curtain rods and they have the place whipped in shape in no time. Oh my!! exclaims Cindy Lou, this is really coming together, it seems they've created the perfect tea parlor and everything is set up in back to be the cleanest, neatest, classiest tattoo parlor ever built. so they proudly put out the open sign and wait for ladies to start comin in.
4: Uh-oh, it seems the gals did such a good job at making a perfect little tea parlor with 42,000 flavors of tea and fancy schmancy tea cakes that no-one believes there really is a tattoo artist just waiting for business, they just drink their tea and leave. What to do, what to do frets Cindy Lou.
5: Not to worry, Sandy Lou had a plan. Yep, another plan; she's heard of this group of 42,000 teapotters who have been known to show up at wild locations and sometimes sporting a tat or two. We'll invite them and they will surely come, their appetite for tea and cookies is world renowned. And she knows more than one of them would be willing to get inked again. Yep, it'll work, I know it will she assured them. They will fill the place and when the other ladies see them getting inked and showing off their new tats, they will follow them back.
Challenge Translation: Tattoos are where it's at this week, bring a card with tattoo art, tattoo supplies, tattoo tunes (is there such a thing?). Bring some cookies that look like tattoos if you can, they might help encourage the ladies to join us in the back parlor. Bring your friends too, but only the ones willing to get inked, if you bring squeamish squealling ones; it's the back door for you.
Yea, I see some of you speed demons have cards already done and up....I don't know how you do it... thx for playing along with me this week
One benefit of being a cheater. Nice job with the challenge exploring other forms of inky art. (The only tattoo I'd ever get is a temporary and washable one)
Personally, I'm going to stick to tea and cookies and not go under the needle at this new tatoo parlor, but I'm bringing a rose design for you gals that want a tatoo.
If I ever had a wild senior moment and went for a tattoo, this butterfly image might just be the one to get inked with! MY CARD

Here's mine, Thanks for hosting this week Sheri.. I figured I'd be on the bottom of the list getting a card up. I had apartment inspection's in the building I live in and one of the tennents had a garage sale and she wanted me to help her, so I finally got around to making a card for this challange...
