Default Problem with clear stamps..... need help!

I feel silly asking this when all of you are so much more experienced than I but here goes: All my stamp sets are wood mounted. I cannot store even one more set. So..... I just bought some SU clear mount sets and some Inkadinkado clear mount sets. TOnight I have tried to work with the Inkadinkado set. When I take them out of the package, the stamps are between two sheets of plastic. If I peel off the one sheet, I still have the image on the back of the stamp but it will not stick to the acryclic block AT ALL. Should I be peeling off the other layer of plastic also? If I do, the image will not be on the back of the stamp..... it will be on the plastic.
I know this makes no sense. I guess I can't explain it well. I am just SO FRUSTRATED because I can't get these stamps to stick to the block.
Please help!

Yes, the image stays to the acetate and the stamp comes off. Then, you stick it on your block (no image showing) and ink it. Voila. Now you can see the image because the ink gives it that color.

Both pieces of acetate come away from the 100% clear stamp.

I like having the image stay on my cling stamps so here's what I do. I leave the plastic image decal ON, trim it with scissors, and apply a thin layer of repositionable glue (like Tombow Mono Multi) on the back and let it dry.

the Inkadinkado sets are designed to peel off both sheets of acetate; no image remains on the stamp itself. The image is on the acetate so you can store it there and know where it goes so they all fit back on the same sheet easily.

As Chautona said, once you stick it to your clear block and ink it up; you will see the image plainly enough to stamp where you want it to go.

The SU sets have stickers that are intended to go on the back of the foam mounted rubber stamps but I have heard many, many, MANY complaints that using the stickers prevents them from sticking to the blocks at all.

One suggestion is to rub them lightly on your clothes to create some "static" so the stamp will cling to the block, or you can do as KatarinaM suggested and add a thin coat of Tombow Mono Multi.

The few SU sets I have like this I just leave the stickers off, put the stamps on my acrylic blocks and use a Stamp-a-ma-jig if the placement is very important. Good Luck!

And as you branch out, you'll find that there are cling-mount sets (what SU calls "clear-mount") that actually do have the image printed on the cling foam. A few that I know of that offer this are Hero Arts clings, Stampers Anonymous, Artistic Outpost and A Muse Studio.

Good for you trying new kinds of stamps ~ it seems that now there's a choice for everyone. And some of us use just about every kind ;) .
