finished Twin Killing
by Marshall Cook yesterday morning. This was the third book in his Monona Quinn series, and not the best addition to the series, either. It tended to lag, and seemed to take forever to get to the mystery.
I also started The Lincoln Lawyer
by Michael Connelly
, and was hoping to get a large chunk -- at least half -- of it read yesterday, but had an intense migraine come on in the afternoon, so there went that plan. I did get about 100 pages in, so I guess that's something. Am feeling marginally better this morning, so will see if I make it to the midpoint today (it's 504 pages long).
This is the first book by Connelly I have read, and am liking it so far. And, though I have not yet seen the movie that was out last year, just knowing that Matthew McConaughey stars as the lead character has me hearing his voice as I read the narrative (the book is in first person). That is not
necessarily a bad thing. ; )
