Saturday, March 31, 6pm TAKE THE LEAP: Take A Leap In Time
Title: Take A Leap In Time
Hostess: Tammy (Tammartcards)
Keyword: LeapVSBN07
Day/Date: Sat, March 31
Time: 6pm
How about taking a leap in time! One of the best ways to do would be by creating a wonderful chronicled layout of special a period which could have spanned over a decade, a few years or months.
My challenge: Pick picture(s) to chronicle a specific period in the past with current correlating picture(s) of the present. Whether its pictures of a childs 1st birthday and now 21st birthday or maybe a daughter as a child playing with dolls and now holding her own baby. Now your challenge is to create a 1 or 2 page layout with this Leap In Time Theme.
Here is my SAMPLE page
Here is the GALLERY for this challenge...leave a little luv for everyone!

It's funny, I've been organizing photos and was in 2007 and I have pics of dd2 with two friends that have been buds since 2004 (though they're in 7th grade and you can see them starting to head in different directions). I think I will gather some photos of them and do a page or two...
I just got done with supper. I'm sort of cooking challenged and had just bought turkey breast tenderloins because our supermarket had a buy one get one free deal. I've heard that turkey is supposed to be good for you so I thought I'd get them. Now...how to make them though. Googled crockpot recipes and found one that all you had to do was salt, pepper, and put an envelope of onion soup mix on both sides of it, lay it in the crockpot and put a can of jellied cranberry sauce on top. 3-4 hours on high and it was done. Should have only done 3 hours instead of 4 BUT the cranberry sauce made a really nice gravy and boy did the meat taste good! DGS scarfed it down and only acted like he was going to barf when I told him it was made with the onions and cranberry sauce (both of which he doesn't care for)...oh well. It was good anyway!

Hahaha! Sounds like a great recipe! And glad DGS survived the meal ;) I wonder what I can talk my hubby into cooking? We had late lunch (its almost 4:30 here), so we can wait a couple hours yet.

There were LOTS of times I told my sons AFTER the dinner what was in it ... ;) Tonight we had Vegetable Chili. It had squash in it. It was a little bland so next time I would add more spices but good ...

That is the same direction I am headed. Two friends for over 30 years, with kids the same age. Of course I have more photos of our kids than of us!
Great challenge Tammy! At first I couldn't think of anything, but now I got it!

If you haven't done Cheryl's Leaping To Conclusion challenge you could use this...photo of the kids but talk about your friendship...I'm thinking of that now for myself too ;-)
Markey it's: LeapVSBN07. Thanks for asking because I wondered why you thought '11' and then reviewed the latter part of the challenge...all fixed now :-) (and it's zero seven)
Well, I'm off to make more Memories with DS as we're going to the Opening Night of the Drive In prob our last time since he's moving away. Believe it or not, there is an old Drive In not too far from us. I've got my camera to snap some picts of us, if we have room after we pack all the snacks, I'll get some photos LOL!
Scrap On! I'll see all of you tomorrow afternoon for more VSBN

okay...I am caught up and have an idea (thanks to the sample!) I have ultrasound pictures here on my table.
I might have to come back because I need to go get the boys and get them bathed and in bed.
Those are all good ideas...I thought of one too while going through one of the quote websites...Baskets of Memories. It's such a hoot to look at all the pictures of DGS in clothes baskets starting when he was just starting to walk! I caught him sitting in the basket a few months ago and had to laugh and catch the picture cause his legs are getting WAY too long to fit in one comfortably anymore LOL But he still tries!
I absolutely loved this theme -- wish I had thought of it! I leapt through a decade with two photos of my youngest child. I think I will do pages for each child this year on their birthdays. I am so inspired by this challenge. My oldest turns 22 this week and it will be fun looking back at him at 12! LeapVSNB07 A Decade by lutheran - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
