Most supplies used are from what you already own, your stash. However, as Hosts put together their challenges and they think you need something specific (color, tool, sketch, etc), we will add to this list.

SOME ADD-ONS FOR VSBN WEEKEND:

hehe.. .this made me giggle as I've been helping another mom lately watching her almost 2 yr old while she runs errands one day a week (dad's in Afghanistan) and he refers to a train as a "woohoo." Every time he saw a pic of a train or our train set, he would say "woohoo." Very sweet lil boy

It's hard to believe that is nearly the end of February, but I know the VSBN will be here before we know it! Can't wait!

Well aren't you very sweet to give the other mom a hand! We're retired military but we were active duty when my children were young and my husband would be gone months at a time and I did not have the blessing of helping hands. Many a moment (or day) I wish I had someone to help me out even for 10 minutes so I could get a break, cat nap, or time alone to breath. Your a kind soul doing this!

Thanks Mary Pat - I'm not sure who gets the bigger blessing from this, her or me, but I know I appreciate the freedoms that we have and have been asking God to reveal ways that I can serve to show my appreciation. This is small in comparison to the sacrifice they are making as a family. (as you know - THANK YOU for the sacrifice you and your husband made for us!)

I know we wish everyone could play 'live' with us at the same time but know that can't be possible. Even if you can't play 'live' you can still leave comments and participate in the challenges on your own. After you upload to your gallery be sure you link your page in the challenge thread so we can see your pages and leave you some luv! Don't forget you have one full week to complete the challenges for recognition. A Master Thread will have all the challenges and links provided so you can check in at one area and play when time allows.

I can only send PMs from a list I've developed over time. I believe there is an option for you to send e-mails to yourself from this thread to keep up with the news. I use a plain ol' wall calendar and mark it down. :-)

Hi Jen,

You can find information HERE. In essence, VSBN is a fun get together of the SCS scrapbook community (& guests). It is an on-line crop of scrapbook challenges for a day (the mini event) & weekend (the main event). On the designated date & time, come back to the Virtual Scrapbook Night area and you can 'enter a room' (click on a thread based on time) to see the challenge and chat while you scrap at home. If you are willing, you can post your finished page in the thread (that time or later) for everyone to 'oooohhhh & aaaaahhhh'.

The events are held live at eastern standard time; and, if you can be 'live' participating that's great! Due to all sorts of reasons, not everyone can play 'live' but everyone can still participate in the challenges, show their pages, & leave comments. Each challenge is Hosted by one of our SCS scrapbook community members; they volunteer their time and creativity to develop the challenge, then she/he will be chatting live for fun, to answer questions, and to leave some luv on your pages.

I hope that helps give you an overview of the event. Please click on the above link to help answer any other questions you have; or, post your questions here because someone will know the answer...it's a very friendly, helpful community and we've all been new trying to navigate SCS. :-)

Many of the same ladies that participate in VSBN also 'hang' out in the Scrapbook Goals thread so be sure to stop by there too.

I'm glad to see everyone is so excited! I think we're going to have some good challenges and of course a lot of fun! I'm sorry for those who can't join in live but I hope you can participate as soon as you're able!

I'm hoping to get in on this one! I sure wish it was the weekend of St. Patrick's Day! I'm going on a scrapping weekend with my buddies and we could have all participated as part of our weekend away! Maybe I'll come up with a similar idea for our trip.

How FUN!!! You can always look back through the archives and look for a Master Thread of a past VSBNs and use that. If you don't have a laptop, you can copy/paste into a Word doc and print to take with you (I've done that in the past).

there will a thread for each challenge where the challenge info is posted and the chatting occurs during the challenge time. It's a good idea to also post a link to your page in that thread also. There will also be a master challenge thread where all the challenges are posted but no chatting on it. hope this answers your questions. Just ask if you have any others.

Players will come to 'chatter' in this thread prior to the start and we'll post in here to let you know when the first challenge is posted but not all of them; I usually include the link to the first challenge too. However, all the threads for VSBN are started HERE . If your not sure you could just save this link in your favorites; then check during the designated time. The key is to keep refreshing the page if you don't see it right away; you also want to refresh your page if you're in the thread and want to participate in the 'chatter'. Once you participate in one VSBN, you'll see how easy it really is.
