F4A107 - Back N' Forth - 03/09/12
F4A107 Back N' Forth - 03/09/12
Seems like rosettes are all the rage lately ... it's really fun to create with a "fan fold", isn't it? There's something strangely satisfying in folding back and forth and coming out even at the end of the strip of paper ...
So, today's challenge is to make an accordion/fan fold and use it as one of the elements of your creations ... make a strip, make a rosette, make a FAN ... let your imagination be your guide!!
Here is my sample:

If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

F4A107 He's One of a Kind
thanks for the super challenge, it makes for such a nice background for stamped images!
I took some distressed paper, stamped a butterfly collage, and added a pine branch and a button. I got some cute butterfly paper yesterday, and so that formed my accordion pleat background. I love this little dachshund!

F4A107 Don's Gift Card
I needed to send a gift card to my DS Don, so I got out my die cut alphabet, a sage pot image (he's a good cook), and a recycled "D". I used an embossed, accordion folded background for the "D" for this challenge. Here's Don's Gift Card

I'm seeing so many beautiful rosettes in the gallery. Mine turned out sort-of flat looking, should I have cut the rosette circle 4 times instead of just twice? The instructions on my little TCP die suggested that I should cut two circles and attach them together so that is what I did. And how do you attach them to the card? I used some larger glue dots, is there something else that works better? And do you use the same adhesive to attach the layers on top of the larger rosette?
Hope that this is an okay spot to ask all of these questions. If this is answered somewhere else on this sight, feel free to direct me to the link.
Thanks for the information and for your kind comments on my first rosette card. It looked better in my head then it turned out on paper.
