MMTPT188 ~ March 6, 2012 ~ Dizzy Lizzy was a cat. Dizzy Lizzy chased a rat!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #188
Dizzy Lizzy was a cat.
Dizzy Lizzy chased a rat!
Dizzy Lizzy's in a tizzy!
Tizzle Zizzy!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Happy Tuesday! It's the first Tuesday in March! It is beginning to feel like its getting a little closer to Spring and Summer but in Colorado, where I live, March and April are the snowiest months of the year! Aww phooey! I will let you know how it went, on about oh, let's say, May 1st or so, the first Tuesday of May! Ha!
2. Meet Dizzy Lizzy, she's a cat! Don't worry, Dizzy Lizzy is not her real name, its her street name. Sadly, the days of being called that beloved name are quickly coming to an end. You see, Dizzy Lizzy, is really Princess Elizabeth C. Atee, next in line to the thrown of the Royal Felines. She once heard Princess Diana say that being a Princess is not all that it's cracked up to be! And when she heard that, she decided to take things into her own paws and have a little fun for as long as she possible could. The royal blood flowing through her veins will one day, eventually, be responsible for the fact that she will have to clean up her act and return home to rule 42,000 Aristrocats. She's next in line but until then, ahhh...the fun of it all!
3. Here's the deal, Cagey Camille. Cagey Camille took Dizzy Lizzy under her paw and taught her the street smarts necessary to survive in the world outside the protection of the Catsel! They have become fast and furry friends but Camille always knew the day would come when her friend would have to return to the Catsel as there is no gettin' around that royal blood running through her veins!! Word has it, the Royal Family is not sound! Something's got the Queen Cat down! A case of the royal furballs has come 'round, just a matter of time before they hunt Lizzy down! Would you look at this royal feline? Chasing rats, getting tats, purring rap with Queen LaCat! So much work to be done, won't be easy, won't be fun! Cagey Camille will have a plan, if anyone can succeed, it's she that can! The name of the game, back to fame! No more riff raff, back to the Furball Fighting Feline Queen and her staff ! Dizzy Lizzy's in a Tizzy! Where's Queen LaCat, time to purr some rap!
Dizzy Lizzy was a cat.
Dizzy Lizzy chased a rat!
Dizzy Lizzy's in a tizzy!
Tizzle Zizzy!
Dizzy Lizzy was a cat.
Dizzy Lizzy gotta a tat!
Dizzy Lizzy's in a tizzy!
Tizzle Zizzy!
Dizzy Lizzy was a cat!
Dizzy Lizzy purred some rap!
Dizzy Lizzy's in a tizzy!
Tizzle Zizzy!
4. We gotta bring Lizzy back to reality, royal reality! I'm thinking sophisticated, educated, cultivated, worldly, cosmopolitan, well mannered, sheer elegance! A young sophisticated socialite in the form of a cat! Bring cats that are all that! None with a tat! Bring crowns, bring jewels, don't bring fools! Bring cats with looks, bring books, books, books! Fine dine and wine, Elizabeth must shine! Cats purring on a lap, not purring some rap! Bring Lady Di hats, no chasing of rats! It's important, a must! The Catsle or bust! We need a good rating, Camille, the next Lady in Waiting!
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Make cards with cat images. Make cards with a royal flair. Think royalty, riches, tiaras, castles and crowns! You will have to swim the moat (there's creatures in there!) and come in the back door if you bring riff raff cats! Even though, just between you and me, we can still get them into the castle by stuffing them in our suitcases! Shh...somebody's coming!
EXTRA POINTS FOR EXTRA COOKIES (EPEC):
You get extra points for bringing books! Lots and lots and lots of books, books, books books! Although you will have to swim the moat and come in the backdoor (again!) if your bring books appealing to the riff raff. Even, though, just between you and me, what's wrong with a little Chasing Rats for Dummies? Shh...somebody's coming!
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our destination is Austin, Texas. If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending them to the mother of fellow teapotter/SCSer, Lydia (Understandblue). I am sure you all know who Lydia is, she is the one that is running around the world of SCS day in and day out, all day long, answering this and answering that, welcoming here and welcoming there, fixing this and fixing that! She's the Website Manager, a big job!
Lydia's mother, Virginia, recently broke her femur just underneath the hip joint, thank goodness it was not her hip! She had pretty debilitating arthritis prior to that and hadn't really been mobile prior to the injury, so recovery has been brutal. They are trying to get her to stand/walk etc. and she just wasn't even doing that before the injury! So, she has a very long road ahead. She's got a rod down inside the femur and a bunch of screws and plates! So much for getting through security checks at the airport!
For the address and more information please visit Post #275 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is totally 100% voluntary!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT188 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given me permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send me a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
Hi, Cindy.......what a great destination this week. Let's hope our cards bring loads of cheer to Virginia. I don't have a cat on my card....but you can tell one was there. : )
Here Is my card for this week's challange. I only have one very small cat stamp...so, Cindy, when I read in your suggestions..."Make a card with a cat in a lap" I thought of this image that I had to make a card. My card will be going in the mail to Viginia...Thanks again, Cindy, for another great challenge!

Lydia, best wishes to your sweet mama! This was a real challenge for me, I do not own too many cat stamps, 2 to be exact, and nothing royal, lol. And I am not really a cat person, although I have had several, or I should say, they have had me. The kitty in my card is Princess Tuptim, who had my family when I was growing up. She sits in the castle window and although her head is bare, she is quite royal indeed. No need for tiaras and crowns, she is Siamese after all!

I told ya'll I was so confused..lol I got my recipents mixed up. My cat card was for Virginia, not Karen..boy, I think I will it straight sooner or later...So now I am off to fix the inside of my card..lol.
Ladies, I must tell you how much all of your comments have meant. I have really been struggling lately with my self esteem and some other issues. I have tried for about a year now to try and sell some of my cards so that my husband doesn't think my hobby is a waste of time and a burden on our finances. I haven't been so successful and was begining to think it was maybe because my work wasn't good enough. As I sat reading all of your wonderful comments on my past two Tea Party entries (even though I mixed up the person on the last one) tears began to stream down my face. To know that women who have been doing this longer than I have were that impressed with my work shocked me. Thank you again for making this cardmaker feel like a million bucks.
