Default Just saw this card and how?

just popped into the gallery and this new upload looks like it used the top note die, but, how to do this? not run it all the way thru?

She has a Spellbinder label die listed in her supplies. Looks to me like the card was folded and placed with the fold just inside the top edge of the die and then run through the die cut machine. You could do the same with a Top Note die but your proportions would end up looking slightly different.

HTH!

I'd say it was the Spellbinders square label, Labels 1. I must admit that when I do shaped cards with the dies I like to put a full front on the card afterwards, because of having to have the die slightly over the edge to allow for a fold when cutting the base. But if you want a single layer, as this card looks to be, you'd end up with something like this.

Cook22, from looking at the picture, I'd say your technique was used on this. If you look carefully, you can see that the actual card base part, with the fold, was die cut, and then another label with the stamped images was cut and adhered on to it.

I think Sabrina means that she sticks a full one on the front so you still get the whole label shape rather than a straight edge at the top. I do it that way sometimes too so I'm attaching a pic to make it more obvious what we're on about. It still looks like a single layer because you line everything up but you've got the shaped edge at the top.

Exactly, Joanne. Your card is precisely done, and your fold doesn't show. In the original card, you can just see a bit of the fold behind the attached front.

That's what I do as well. I am a bit on a Shaped card kick lately.
