TLC360 ~ Twine it Up!! ~ (1/16/12)
Hello everyone!! I hope you had a great weekend!! Are you ready for a fun and easy Technique Lover's Challenge??
I have noticed on lots of blogs and in the card magazines a lot of different ways to use twine. So, my challenge is to
Twine it up !! Wrap twine around something for a solid look, use it to outline something, or create a flower, grass, or a sun with it....just be creative and have fun!!
You can use any kind of twine, thread, or cording...use what you have!!
In order to cover a solid image or shape, cover it with double sided tape - both front and back - first. Your twine won't shift and you can easily redo something if you need to.
My DD Holly made a sample card for the challenge:
Twine Frame Howdy
Here is my sample:
Owl Always Love You
Remember when uploading to use
keyword TLC360 (no spaces)
You can view the entire
TLC360 gallery here!!
Have fun!!

Fun challenge, Joan. You gave us a lot of latitude on which "thread" to use which should make for a very interesting and creative gallery. Thanks!

Joan, what a fun challenge. I've been putting pieces parts together left over from projects or time at a friend's house with their toys.
Here's
my card for this challenge. I have today off so I finally get to play!

Very fun idea, Joan. It should be a very creative gallery!
I used the blue striped twine around the edge of my image (and also as a cute little bow).

I was inspired by the sample piece- Twine Frame Howdy- and came up with
Summer Horse - embroidery floss wound over a baking tube metal end cap. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Joan, for this inspirational challenge! There are so many creative approaches to twine here and in blogland.
I didn't have twine, but some colorful floss, and decided to give it a whirl:

After looking at this gallery, I'm added twine to the shopping list. Thanks for the enabling!

Twine.....one of my absolute favorite embellishments. I used Linen Thread for my twine and combined with this weeks CAS153 color blocking challenge by Loll. Thanks again Joan for an awesome challenge.
