Welcome to this week's TLC! I am thrilled to be joining Holly and Joan as a TLC Hostess for 2012!
I am still recovering from the holidays - how about you? I have to find some time to take down my decorations this week. I hope that you will find time to play in this week's Technique Challenge, because it is a FUN one, and one that everyone can play in!
This week we are taking a look back at the "Best in 2011."Choose one of the TLC Challenges (#306-357) from 2011 and make a project using that week's technique! That's FIFTY-TWO to choose from and there is something for everyone!
Here are the links to the two posts that have all the challenges: TLC306-338 TLC339-357
Be sure to list which 2011 Technique Challenge you chose in your description!
This looks like a fun challenge. I'll try to make some time tomorrow (or maybe tonight?!) to play! Lots of fun techniques last year. It is good to review them.

Welcome to the TLC, Judy!!!!! This is a fabulous first challenge....I will think about this tonight and play along tomorrow!! We just got home a few miniutes ago and just had to come say hi!!!
I decided to try a Z fold card from the TLC337 ~ Swinging Z-Fold Cards ~ (08/08/11) challenge. I did the easier version, which doesn't include some extra cutting around the center image. This was my first try at this type of card and I thought it was lots of fun!
I'm pretty new to challenges so it was lots of fun to look through all of the technique challenges from last year. Thanks for giving me a reason to go back and look!
Congrats Judy...............what a great idea............but it will be a daunting task to make a choice on the technique. There are just toooo many great ones.
I'm finally finding the top of my craft table so hopefully I will get to play today.
Happy Monday all ! OK.........off to look through the techniques.

Oh my gosh, Judy! So many choices! It might take me all day to decide! LOL!
Can't wait to play along this evening. Off to surf through the challenges now ;)
Thanks for the great challenge today. It gave me the opportunity to try heat embossing on dry embossing. Here's my card (another for the Valentine's stash)
Judy- thanks for the potpourri of challenges! I went with TLC345 Pencil Me In- using an ordinary pencil for the spiky hedgehog coat, and colored pencils otherwise. I added 2 freeform hearts with paper piercing borders, and some ribbons and adhesive gems. Here's Hedgehog Valentine!

BIRTHDAY WISHES
After over a month of not participating in challenges, here is my TLC359 challenge card, BIRTHDAY WISHES, which I combined w/today's CAS152 challenge. I "brought back" TLC310, dry embossing. Good to be back!
For today's Try a New Technique Challenge, I chose tlc303- Sponging- distressing my message panel (provided by my stamping friends), and adding lace and ribbon. Here's Seeds of Kindness

Finally .. I had time to try a challenge! I tried faux silk with a twist -- unfortunately, you can't see the twist which is the glimmer from the pearl-ex shadows.
What a great list of techniques to choose. I thought I would try Stamping in a Die TLC322. Love the finished effect. Thanks for a nostalgic look at 2011. Here is my creation.
