Martha Stewart Stamp Block with Handle

I picked up Martha Stewart's Stamp Block with a Handle at Joann's on clearance, and absolutely love it because of the handle.

The thing is, it's very difficult for me to get clean images using regular acrylic blocks because my hands are not at all strong, and trying to apply just the right amount of pressure is difficult for me, so much so that it usually takes me numerous tries before I get one usable image.

But because MS's block has a handle, I can apply enough pressure from the middle of the stamp that I get a clean, crisp image almost every single time.

The problem is that this particular block is 4" x 6", which is great for many stamps, but much too large for others. I've searched and have not been able to find a smaller block with a handle. I did find one handle with a suction cup to use on any acrylic block you wanted, but have no idea if it would really work or not.

So, does anyone know of any other acrylic stamp blocks with handles that come in smaller sizes, or if the suction handle works?

Try using the Fiskars Stamp Press. They are available at Michael's and JoAnn and you can use a 50% off coupon on them. I love mine and get nice clear images.

Also, you need to use less pressure when you use a clear stamp vs. a rubber stamp.

I did get a smaller Martha's block with handle a few years ago. I LOVE it. It is about 2 x 3 ish and I use it all the time. My go to block. Maybe if you do a search you can find other sizes of them? Mine was from Micheals too.

I actually had purchased the Fiskars Stamp Press, but I dropped it the first time I went to use it and the two plates broke apart. I know Fiskars is great about replacing broken items, so I took a pic of it to send to them, but haven't yet contacted them. I've heard great things about the stamp press, so I need to get going on that.

I purchased both large and small Martha Stewart acrylic blocks. I did not use the glue to attach the handle; I used velcro dots on my acrylic blocks and handle so that I can interchange them - I use two velcro dots on my large acrylic block so that I can use an even pressure. This works well for me. My son asked me to share the idea as it may benefit others.

I was also thinking that you could buy knobs from the hardware store and use some E6000 to glue them to your existing blocks. I go through bouts with my wrists (carpel tunnel) and I've been using the Rock-a-blocs. I have a set that has several sizes from large to small and they work great.
