WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #179
There is no rhyme, there is no reason!
But at this time, I am not a teasin'!
Simply put, it's a teal, hearts and
angel sorta season!
This is my story!
1. Welcome to Teapot Tuesday in 2012! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to a wonderful new year! There were alot of wonderful teaparties in 2011 and alot of wonderful teapots were featured. One thing is for sure, for as many wonderful teapots as were featured in the previous years challenges, there are equally as many just waiting to be featured in the years to come! Good thing! Where would our teaparties be without teapots? Snort!
2. I would also like to thank all of you for playing along in 2011. Not only have you had fun at the teaparties, but many of you have been kind enough to send your cards to the featured recipient and that has resulted in many warm fuzzies throughout the year. Your cards sure have brought many a smile to the recipients during 2011. Thank you for that! And now, on to our first teaparty in 2012!
3. I am here to teal you that this week its all about the color of teal! Can you teal by looking at this teapot that we are teapartying with teal? Our teal teapot gives us a good start with teal flowers and teal birdies but its lacking something, can't you teal? Angels and hearts! I don't think I have to teal you all that we can't have a teal teaparty without hearts and angels!
4. There is no rhyme, there is no reason but I am here to teal you, I am not teasin'! It's just simply teal, hearts and a angels sorta season!
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Make a card predominantly in teal! Bring flowers, hearts and angels. Oh, and there are no extra cookies this week! We don't need no stinkin' extra cookies after this holiday season! BUT! No worries, its only for one week! Next week, we will be back in the cookie business! Whoot!
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our destination is Williamsfield, Illinois. If you would like a destination for your cards this week, how about sending them to Sonja. Fellow SCSer Sonja (Soni B) was recommended as a destination for our cards this week by fellow teapotter ScrappinCEO (Kelly).
Soni and her daughters are all SCS members. Kelly met Soni over 20 years ago through her oldest daughter, Tammy. Kelly and Soni became co-workers and fast friends. Soni welcomed Kelly and her family into her home, family and circle of friends. When Soni was two years old, she was in a car accident that left her with very little use of her left arm/ hand. But to see the things she does, you'd never know. She's strong. But even the strongest person can be tested. 2011 was a very rough year for Sonja and we are here to help her ring in a much better 2012.

Here's my card for Sonja. I have a very busy day tomorrow with my friends (going to breakfast and then playing dominos...Mexican train to be exact) and am so glad you have opened the gallery this early. I don't have any angels or hearts on the card.......duh........my mind didn't even go in that direction.........but I will stamp an angel on the envie....does that count ???!!! ha ha I'm trying to make flower cards like kittie747.....this is tedious.....my poinsetta was better.

I've been missing from the teaparties for several weeks, but I hope I can get back in your good graces. I brought an angel, a heart and some teal (maybe turquoise -- sorry) paper.
Here's my card for Sonja Happy New Year dear fellow teapotters. It is good to be back from my hiatus. Things got crazy around here for a while. Phil had a stroke, but he is okay. My vet is shocked that he has lasted this long considering he was given 3 to 6 months back in April. She said he has it too good to die. Baci's pose is so typical of my little girl. Brigante is my sweetheart he is such a good boy! My MIL had some health problems and has moved to Assisted Living. So 2012 please make this a happy and healthy New Year for us all.
Phil is inspecting his Christmas present, Briggsy is playing with his new lamby and Baci is just being Baci.

Hi, Cindy....and Happy New Year. I'm back on the Tea Party bandwagon after taking a month off. It will be fun to "see" everyone again and sip tea and share cookies.
Here is my card for Sonja. Will have to come back throughout the week to comment . . . I was so excited to go back to work today (NOT!) that I didn't sleep last night so I'm off to bed!
Here is my card - no angels or hearts, but it does have teal flowers like the teapot!
It worked out well with the color challenge colors today. Flowers in a Jar
Ok, no one fall off your chair and break your tea cup....I'm on time to the teaparty....Had the holiday off for a change and I played in the back room all day yest...such fun..well, between baking up some low fat merinque cookies sweetened with splenda to bring to the teaparty.....passing the plate around..theyre really quite good...

Hi teapotters! =) My name is Krista, and I am Soni B's daughter. I am totally blown away by this! What a fabulous challenge idea. I am lucky enough to get to see all of the wonderful cards in person, so I don't want to peek just yet. My mom is just speechless and this is such an uplifting thing for you all to do. I want to be a part of it, so I'm going to join in the fun and check out the next teapot challenge. Hopefully I can figure it all out. Thank you all for the sweet gesture and the smiles you have brought to my mom!

I am so tickled you are having fun receiving your cards, Sonja and Krista, how wonderful you get to see them as well...the gallery was beautiful, loves of lovely teal angels!
